luciantallis:
There was a window of opportunity opening here that had Lucian relieved. Aggie opening up about her visions would probably take stress off of the both of them. he knew how they worked to an extent. Aggie’s seemed to be touch related only sometimes as far as he knew and that seemed damn impossible to actually control. Hudson and Kels knew far more than he did, the specifics into Aggie’s power. It was something he’d tried not to be jealous about, it’s not like she didn’t think he wouldn’t understand, it was probably because she didn’t want him to worry.
‘As if I were experiencing it’. Lucian tried to ignore the fact that the hair on his neck stood up a little at the thought. He couldn’t imagine reliving that, how that probably wouldn’t be the first time in her life to have to relive something like that. There was a slight feeling of guilt, of leaving so early, of avoiding seeing his siblings because he didn’t want them to see him with Eve. Granted, she had mentioned a date and they’d obviously gotten her out of there safely but he still couldn’t help but feel a little suspicious, judgmental. He was still her brother, after all.
“While I am one hundred percent behind the idea of you sharing these things with me, I’m new to the whole vision aspect of things. What brings them on exactly and what can I do to be more supportive when they’re over? Other than wanting to wrap you in bubble wrap, of course.” he took a sip of his coffee, lower back leaning against the counter. His tone was kept light but he knew that she would know he meant it.
Aggie worried her bottom lip and felt as if she’d returned to her adolescent self just by how hesitant she was to explain it all. She remembered being sat in front of trusted witches by their parents in hopes of figuring out how to control her visions thus making her powers easier to bare. Unfortunately, help and good advice were as few and far between as the gift of Sight itself. It didn’t even feel like a gift in the first place. It wasn’t Lucian’s fault that he didn’t know too much about her ordeal. She’d begged their parents not to mention it unless absolutely necessary. Kels knew the most and Hudson knew a little more than Lucian but only because he was old enough to understand her torment when she first received them. It hadn’t been easy to hide it from her older brothers as it had been to hide from her younger siblings.
“Well, to start off, I can see a wide range of timelines. As far back into the past as the beginning of our ancestry line and as far into the future as…” My own death - in various ages and circumstances Aggie struggled to utter out. “I-It varies. I can’t really tell how far into the future because the future is always changing. Sometimes I don’t even know I’ve seen the future until it happens in real life.” The witch explained. “It can happen any time. When I’m around someone or something that the vision wants me to see is usually when it comes but I’m more vulnerable when I’m stressed or not feeling well. Kind of like a cold or fever in the sense that when my guard is down I’m more susceptible to get a vision. When I was younger it started out as night terrors and very seldom as visions, this lessened as I got older and found more ways to get my mind off it but only recently has it gotten this bad. I feel as though I can’t even get my mind off it at all.” She took a breath and tried to ignore the debilitating feeling it gave her.
“There’s not much you can do Luc.” Aggie said softly. “I suppose try to talk to me when I go blank? I can sometimes still hear you.”
