Our oldest peyote is BLOOMING for the first time omfg
I'm loving your blog so bad 🙅
😳😁🌵🌵🌵🌸
Our cleistocactus bloomed and for the longest time we thought the flowers hadn't opened but it turns out this is exactly what they look like! 😂 kind of anticlimactic, but it remains one of favourite cacti!
Euphorbia obesa
The German winter has been long and hard... we’ve had several casualties. Here’s to spring making an appearance soon!
Remember Frankenkaktus I? (we’ve got a specific tag for it, so you can look under that for older pictures) He got huge!
Unbelievably enough, the San Pedro where we grafted our beautiful Frankenkaktus III nearly three years ago (!) has grown three tiny Pedritos at the base! Check the tag "frankenkaktus iii" if you want to see its evolution through the years :)
My Mystery Succulent (it is NOT a Haworthia fasciata, everyone) looking a bit sunburnt after a couple weeks in the sun
You GUYS. We've got over 1,000 followers! INSANE. Here is a photo of one of the latest additions to our cactus collection (first ever IKEA-bought cactus!) — a mammillaria roemeri (possibly).
Hi! I bought a cactus in November, and it got a lot of whitish spots. I mean it looks a lot like it's dried out,but I'm not sure. Can you help me out? :) thank you.
Of course, I'm glad to help you out, but I'll need a picture to see if there is something wrong. Load it up on tumblr and send me the link. Thank you
I have this cute vase where I want to put my cacti in but it has no hole to drain the water, what could I do?
Well the best thing would be to take a drill and drill a hole in the bottom, it sounds a little risky but works just fine, place some stones on the bottom of the pot (they'll help drain the soil and keep it nice and dry) and your potting soil, plant your cactus, wait the usual 15 days (or a little more) and then water.
One of my cacti has two holes in it, it doesn't look like burnt holes but more like they've been cut - if there's a way to send a photo I will. I'm just wondering if should I be worried about it?
Dear anon, how weird! If your cactus is outside and the holes look relatively clean cut and fresh, it could be that a hungry bird has taken a bite (or two, in your case) out of it. This is sadly not extremely uncommon depending on where you live. :( A photo would of course be better. If you can upload it on a public server of any sort you can send us the link through a message.
