You know what else is important? Both Fitz and Simmons were confronted with an old issue of theirs tonight before they got back to the hotel room. Simmons had to face and talk to ‘Will’ again, deal with what happened on the planet. Fitz got the oxygen choked out of him, after being betrayed by a friend.

Either or both of these things might have spooked them and made them blink, take a step back, second-guess themselves.

Instead, they jumped right back at each other. They got a reminder of where they’d been and they much prefer what they are to each other now. Goodbye past, it’s Fitzsimmons to stay. No looking back.
