a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.

When will USAmericans understand that the "evil racist argentina" narrative is no diferent than the "terrorist south asians" or "evil chinese" ones. The only difference is that now they're appealing to a different demographic. Being straight up racist no longer works because they'll get immediately called out, so that's who they're appealing to, the people calling out racism. They're making them believe they're doing activism when in reality they're helping the US government to spread propaganda against our country so no one will care when they steal our resources and territory.

It's funny how yall love to quote "you are not immune to propaganda" but still can't understand how powerful and convincing propaganda truly can be. You're falling for it right now and you're not even realizing it.

So if you're truly against imperialism, you'll listen to argentinian voices and stop relishing on your ignorance.

I genuinely can't believe so many famous people are falling for propaganda so easily and using their platform to spew hatred on a nation that already has so many racialized people trying to fight back the fascism machine.

Samuel Jackson saying people shouldn't support Argentina because we're "historically the most racist country in the world" is not only a disservice to the ALARMING AMOUNT OF YEARS OF SLAVERY AND SEGREGATION AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE IN HIS OWN DAMN COUNTRY AND THE CURRENT CONCENTRATION CAMPS DEDICATED TO LATINOAMERICAN PEOPLE ENTERING THE US but also does absolutely nothing to help those of us who have ever suffered racism inside Argentina.

It is not a light statement, it is largely unfounded, yet he has no problem using his platform to make such claims as did many internationally known celebrities.

Meanwhile the genocide that is currently going on in Palestine is evident and widely documented and yet many of these same people play dumb instead of using their platform to CONDEMN AN ACTUAL FUCKING GENOCIDE GOING ON RIGHT NOW. it's disgusting and extremely absurd.
