What led you to study psychology and art therapy? Justin: When I was younger, I was fascinated with humans and why people do what they do. As I got older, I started looking at the difference in people. The reasons that would make one person achieve such great things in life while others don’

Lost files of lay and my sibling
I connected with my only blood sibling in 2013 whom I was estranged from for 4 + years even though we grew up together . Our relationship was broken due to traumatic experiences and we realized the only way we could get it back was through art . so that’s what we did . We found ordinary material like Lego, computer parts, old leather etc and spent hours creating dope things. We literally took apart computers with hammers and heavy duty drills etc. While we did this we brought up issues we never dealt with and we healed . Well still healing. Every finished product represented a new beginning for us and a stronger relationship. Our families and friends loved them so much that they offered to purchase them. Some pieces took a week, some took 6 weeks to make . But we loved the process. We didn’t really promote our work a lot but we did make a business out of it for a short time. We just wanted to share our story and possibly inspire a person or 2 in the process.
Mission accomplished .Good times
Self explanatory . Love. Life.

I Spent 16 summers on an island
Growing up Caribbean , being influenced by Kenyan elders, travelling almost every year to a new country ,sounds of Colombian , Zimbabwean, and Trini music being played at home around Christmas time; Its no surprise that I can adapt to any space / culture.
And although I’ve felt like a stranger in the big city that I currently live in for 9 summers. ( Toronto) our relationship has blossomed... But as we approach a new winter, the desire to reconnect with home is growing ever so strongly .
I miss my family. I miss eating with my cousins and watching them grow and have families. I miss the sea, the salt and the sand..
( Pictures taken on my trip home last year)
