“I-” He hesitated thinking he didn’t quite know what she was talking about but really he knew. It was something that’s been at the back of his mind for a while now. “It’s stupid. As soon as he said it, she was able to pin point the doubt, the uneasiness that settled in her stomach. It melted into a puddle, and then began to work its magic.
