Digits dragged down SEEMINGLY delicate facial features, a groan rasping its way out of her throat.
“Why do I talk to people?” her voice is quiet and in the form of a mutter, as though contemplating something completely beyond her.

“I plead the fifth,” voice lacked the oomf of a joke, and yet she shows hint of neither remorse nor anger to back the statement up. The only trace of further expression lingered in her features contorted to appear amused.

Lips struggle to crack a smile as fingers find their way to curl through locks of hair; it was a bad habit. “It’s probably curable, though, hm?”

She PAUSES, as though contemplating options at hand. Not a single word could link her expression to INTEREST, thanks to slightly narrowed hues and her mouth taut in a straight line; the only thing was, she wasn’t retreating. No, she stood her ground with a posture of grace and confidence. “I won’t turn down a free drink. Though, I’m assuming you want something else as payment.”
“Does enduring a small conversation cut it? Even if listening to you brings me PHYSICAL PAIN.”
“ Well… All due respect then, Officer, but I’m not really one to trust a gun, no matter who’s got it. “ Her tense demeanor eases a small degree, but her gaze stayed fixated on the firearm for a moment. Everything for her small shop was perfectly legal and properly documented, but having a police officer and a gun in such close proximity was greatly unsettling. “ But, um, can I help you with something, Ma’am? “
“That’s smart of you,” slender fingers slid over the shelves which various objects rested upon. “After all, even police are capable of rather NASTY acts.”
“Lucky for you, I’m not up to anything nasty. I’m not even really on hours right now; I’m just looking,” she manages to yank focus off of the shopkeep, and instead to the general vicinity. “Anyways. What exactly do you sell here? Call me curious, if you like.”

“Sorry — you caught me,” an OBVIOUSLY forced smile flashed. “It’s a bit of a habit.”
She curled a finger along sweatpants’ string, all while she eyed the crossed arms. “Hope you’re not too upset. Don’t exactly have anything to make it up to ‘ya. Wait; what are you upset about again? Besides me?”
Her green hues blinked for a minute as she swallowed the piece that she was currently chewing. Ivy set down her plate, ruffling her wings to remove the crumbs off of them.
❝ Sure thing. I’m Ivy, I’ve been alive since the 1600′s and I’m a harpy. Your turn. ❞
“Well then,” there’s a moment for her eyes to widen and then return back to normal state in order to state her surprise. Digits comb through black locks while lips remained temporarily pursed.
“My name is Mirri, and I have a very large family. I’m thirty-four. I enjoy eating as well as video games; I’m a cop. I come from a family of cops, and I’m the oldest. Besides my half-brother, but no one but me really cared for him.”

She can’t help but feel talkative. Sure, she’s seen the other around && the girl seemed friendly. Kinda. Ivy just sorta bought her a pizza, offering to share it with her.
“I enjoy food. What can I say, hm?”
A hand found itself comfortable resting against her own temple while its partner kept a grip on one of the slices. Gold was quick to examine the companion, irises never quite staying still during the conversation. A quick bite was taken, and IT she decided to change topics.
“I don’t know much about you. Care to share info? Let’s get to know one another,’ it was ROUTINE. Know your surroundings; code she LIVED BY.

The harpy mumbles, sliding over the pizza box to her. She bought it for the two of them. Honestly, Ivy just needed an excuse to buy pizza.
Her gaze of scrutiny fixated on the American delicacy. She’s known among her own as a BOTTOMLESS PIT in terms of food; she takes advantage of the incapability to gain weight, or even lose it for that matter. However, feeding off a simple ACQUAINTANCE invited caution.
Nonetheless, hands take hold of two pieces, both finding a home on her paper plate at the ready. “Thanks, I guess.”
