In solitude, I felt the liberty you spoke of. But I also felt your absence.

before you make a major life decision you should ALWAYS make sure that you are going through something that could be described as an "episode"

Think you in your soul the Count Claudio hath wronged Hero? Yea, as sure as I have a thought or a soul. Enough, I am engaged; I will challenge him.

it’s interesting to see people who have never been christian and are only familiar with christianity through parodies of it discover that christianity has spent millennia, for lack of a better word, aura farming, or to put it another way developing thousands of ways across hundreds of cultures to inspire awe for god and jesus. i remember a make some noise segment where two people were improvising a christian rock song and used the phrase (i believe) “washed in the blood of the lamb,” and the other participant was so blown away by that phrase he seemed to think they had come up with it to “metal-fy” christianity. nope. the guy who did that wrote it around 95 CE, and he was riffing on jewish traditions and sacred literature going back centuries upon centuries more. it’s been used in a huge variety of christian art ranging from some of the most mind blowing baroque masterpieces to about a million extremely dry protestant hymns (which are also not to be discounted—i’m not above admitting how powerful a well-placed “nearer my god to thee” can be). i guess all this to say don’t discount sacred art just because religion doesn’t make logical sense to you. it’s not meant to make logical sense, but it’s very good at making emotional sense, which can be very cool or very dangerous depending on how well you know what’s happening
‘song of the summer’ this ‘song of the summer’ that …. carly rae jepsen wrote a MILLION songs of the summer …. #listentowomen
There are multiple chapters that are set in hospitals where the characters are attempting to recover from injuries that never fully heal. I must once again stress that my experience in WWI was perfectly normal.
There is a giant horrible mudplain full of unrecoverable and perfectly preserved dead bodies that the characters have to walk through in a land where the air is poisoned gas, and on a compLETELY UNRELATED NOTE: WWI WAS TOTALLY FINE AND NORMAL!!

The gang thinks Darry doesn't have any social media, but the reality is that he just has every single one of them blocked on everything.
There really is something so incredibly compelling about the dynamic of a man who has never experienced open desire learning to let go and finding out he's actually a downright slut for it in the right circumstances with a specific man who happens to be an absolute whore but who grows obsessed with this quiet, unassuming, secret deviant to the point that literally nothing else matters. And they're rivals. Like, wow, no wonder this show has me in such a chokehold.
