So the thing about Willow to me is that she so so so desperately wants a sacred magical destiny. She wants the burden, the purpose, the power. Buffy, Giles, and Jenny all have different flavors of an inescapable death sentence that has completely taken over their lives and autonomy. All she sees is this great big importance and specialness, despite all of them being vocal at the fact they want to be normal people. She takes Giles’s warnings and scolding of magic usage as him thinking she cant handle it when in reality it is him trying to save her from what ultimately was nearly his (and soon to nearly be her!) demise. But To her that burden is a blessing that she wants so badly to have and be recognized for. She tries so hard to force a magical destiny and importance that she nearly destroys all the relationships she has

Buffy the Vampire Slayer accidentally made a great representation of what grooming a teenager looks like from the victims friends perspective with Buffy and Angel.

Like, I remember unbeknownst to me watching my friend get groomed by a much older guy and I too was like "oooooo you like an older guy {:0" just like Willow.

Anyways Buffy x Angel being a serious ship will never not bug me, it's not like Twilight where he was turned at 17. He was turned into a vampire at 28. She's 16.

i try to not be totally anti angel or anti bangel because i love angel i really like buffy and angel in the early parts of the series but just thinking abt how more powerful the symbolism would be if they stuck to the idea that him turning evil after they had sex was about how having a relationship with an older guy is great and then he can suddenly turn really nasty with you and she is unable to kill him right away because she's young and she needs time to process what's happening and the symbolism of angel turning back into the sweet loving guy moments before she kills him being that when you try to end things or stand up to your ab*ser they revert into a guy who's really sorry/sweet again and buffy has to actively choose to kill him because even though she loved this part of him she can't risk the monster coming back like if that's where it ended it would be fantastic
