Luca was on the train to his new home. The train had departed northbound from the Sunbeam capital of Beacon’s Gate a few hours ago, and the landscape it passed through still hadn’t changed from the endless golden plains to the west and the maddeningly regular horizon of the ocean far to the east, the side Luca was on. The track that the train ran along snaked its way up the rocky coast, often getting very close to the steep cliffs that edged the continent. It was only sparsely populated in that corner of Sunbeam, and would be like that until they got closer to the Strait.

okay question… what is the best way to preview an accent with a scry? is there a way?

the only way I know how is to download the scried dragon and use kanojo to download the accent to preview in your art program of choice.

but boost, in case anyone knows a better way

Okay, so I know nothing about mobile, so for all I know this might be computer only, but here’s how I do it without having to download anything.

First off, make your scry, then right-click on the image and select ‘copy image address’/’copy image url’

Then you go to Kanojo and find the desired accent.  Then put a random dragon ID in the ID box (I like to use ‘1′ because it’s simple and seeing the Earthshaker in accents can be funny)

Right-click on the image, then click ‘inspect’/’inspect element’

This will give you a lot of scary looking code, but you want to find the bit that says src=“https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/1/1_350.png” (note that the ‘1/1′ will be different numbers if you used a different dragon ID)

Double-click on it until it selects this section:

Then replace that with your copied image url from earlier:

And voila, your scried dragon is now wearing the accent!

There’s another way to do this without inspecting elements as outlined in this post that went around a while ago. I have it saved to my blog under a tag that is easy to remember but has no other posts, which in my case is “tag preview.”

To summarize, use this link:

Replace NUMBER with the number of the skin you wish to preview and you’re all set to copy/paste the image on top of your dragon to preview.

(the post instructs you to preview as it an image on-site but I’ve never had a problem just pasting the URL right in my address bar)

I don’t know what’s funnier: the idea that Pearlcatchers have a special “vomit room” in their lairs bc the act of adding to their pearl is seen as unseemly, so you get PCs going “excuse me I have to visit the little barfer’s room”, or the idea that it’s a totally neutral part of their society so en masse at, like, a big family dinner they’ll all just stop and upchuck all over their pearls for a second

I love opal, but I think that FR should stop loading all the gene details on the edges of the wings. It ends up totally obliterating the use of other genes.

A spinner/opal, or stripes/opal or even eyespot/opal combination means that some of the best parts of that secondary gene are just gone now.

I’m Cryin.

So I commissioned someone who is NOT on Fr and don’t knows the site to draw Kain a while ago. Yesterday while I wasn’t pying attention they accepted. Took the ref and finished today.

And i come to my Inbox to find a picture of HD april fools Kain drawn for me.  THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED.

At the same time I can’t blame the person at all because they thought this was his legitimate fucking ref I’m weeping. Its such bad timing it’s hilarious.
