climate change is just so frustrating because we could have prevented it. we’ve had so many chances, we’ve been warned about it for decades, and yet it’s only gotten worse.

the people in charge of corporations that contribute to climate change are mostly old men. these men will be dead in a few years, leaving us to deal with the consequences of their actions. more rich, greedy people will take their place for generations until we are all dead.

and nobody cares. the thought of climate change scares people, so they ignore it, hoping it’ll go away. the affects are getting worse and worse, temperatures are rising, ice is melting, storms are increasing. soon our world will be gone.

i’m a teenage girl. i have dreams about what i want to do with my life. now, i’m unsure if this earth will even survive long enough for me to be able to live my life.

so if you have any empathy at all, if you care for your generation and the future generations, then help stop climate change.

used to have a friend who didn’t understand why i was a feminist. she would say, she has the right to vote, to an education, to a job. she has rights, feminism is no longer needed.

i live in one of fourteen countries where women have equal rights to men. that’s not talking about the casual misogyny in our everyday lives.

there are women in the world who cannot speak in public. there are women in the world who are being forced to marry their rapist. there are women in the world who’s biggest dream is to be able go to school.

just because you have rights does not mean all women have rights. no woman is free until all women are free.
