A plan for a new lino cut!
Making Hallowe’en bags with kids at work yesterday resulted in this abomination
A new comic for TAGS festival and Thought Bubble this autumn!
Can you tell I like a theme?
Printing more awkward frogs for TAGS festival in Edinburgh this weekend!
I’ve been needle felting a moth onto this denim jacket off and on for a while now, I think it’s nearly finished! At some point I’ll try and get a picture of someone actually wearing it but this will have to do for now.
Some panels from a comic in (slow) progress! Hoping to print this in the second half of the year 🤞
Lino printing this awkward frog stamp I made for a school demo! He’s based on my all time favourite medieval marginalia 🐸
My sofa came with some really boring cushions that I just chuck on the floor all the time because they’re rubbish to sit on, so I thought I’d make them a bit more interesting!
The design is inspired by my all time favourite episode of Crackpot podcast , which was about the apparent tendency of owls to show up in accounts of paranormal or extraterrestrial events. Owls are spooky 🛸
Just a frog! I sketched this as a design for a felt patch but I’ll maybe make it into a sticker or something at some point too.
A couple of the Christmas cards I made for family this year (I forgot to photograph the others)
I needle-felted my friend Black Shuck onto an old jumper over the Christmas break, he’s a little goofy looking but I had fun 🐺
Happy NYE! 🎊
The inspiration for a felt patch, and how it turned out!
A little starry frog patch I felted yesterday!
I’ve been playing about with needle felting on some of my way-too-extensive knitwear collection to get a bit more life out of some things I haven’t worn for a while. This fox turned out kind of on the chubby side because I got carried away with the wool, but I think that’s okay!
I’m not a natural crafter really, nobody has ever been able to teach me to knit or crochet or sew and embroidery makes me frustrated beyond belief - but needle felting is just repeatedly stabbing at wool and if you mess up you can fix it with more stabbing, so I think it might suit me? I’m going to try some more anyway and see how it works out.
