In this video, you will see how we prepared a scene of Garage Theater Company #Hamlet play, where Hamlet and #Laertes fight on the #Ophelia ’s grave. This scene was part of our laboratory theatre performance, where we explored the themes of death, madness and revenge in a contemporary context. We used our bodies, voices and movements as expressive tools, creating a dynamic and visceral spectacle. We also used simple and symbolic stage materials, such as wooden swords, cloth, bricks and fire, to enhance the dramatic tension and contrast. You will see how we trained and rehearsed this scene, using rhythm, improvisation and interaction. We hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes glimpse of our creative process.
