Jacob heard the bucket clatter and looked up, just in time to see Newt dropping down the small ramp in his case. “Oh, jeez.” He set down the container that he had, walking quickly over to Newt to offer him a hand up. “You alright there? How'd you even fall?”

“You know, I’m not - I don’t dance the best,” he said nervously. But he didn’t pull away as she tugged him out to dance. “You sure you wanna dance with me?”

“That, my friend, is a Mackled Malaclaw.” Newt informed, carefully picking up the lobster like creature. “It is not particularly dangerous, but its bite does tend to have a ghastly affect. Anyone bit by a Malaclaw becomes terrible unlucky for a while. Oh, and I wouldn’t eat this little fella. You’ll get incredibly ill, and you will develop an unsightly rash.”

“Mackled Malaclaw,” Jacob repeated, looking closer. When he heard the effects of the bite, however, he stepped away quickly. “You know, I ain’t gonna risk it after the last time one of your creatures bit me.” He studied it from a safe distance away, listening to the rest of Newt’s explanation. “These things are crazy, ya know? All the things they can do. I never woulda thought it was even possible before.”
