Hello, another controversial form of post. I'm curious about the different origins of systems once again.
⭑ Please read more before commenting, / Sending an inbox/reposting.
If we accidentally cross-tag, please let us know so we can remove it and replace it with a different one.
Please don't take my questioning as an attack. If something seems worded incorrectly, please be kind enough to correct me. Thank you.
So I am again curious about different systems; this time, it's Ramcoa or Tmbc-based systems. Now I don't want to know how programming works. I don't want to know about your triggers. I will tread lightly on this topic, as I know it can be extremely sensitive.
The only way I can learn is through other people's experiences and/or stories. So I genuinely wish to understand what it's like for you. So please feel free to send your story to my inbox for anonymous safety, or feel free to reblog with helpful links so we can understand more.
We absolutely do not want discourse. This is for research and understanding, and hopefully to better understand parts of the human mind as well as understand others.
Again, links and resources would be amazing if there are some, if you're not able to share your own story.
Thank you for reading peace and love 𖹭
⸺ We are completely neutral on all stances; we will approach any topic as such.
Hello Tumblr, I haven't used this account in quite some time. But through the recent information of simply plural being discontinued I am quite outraged, distraught, as well as passionate. While we still have until june please feel free to read this post.
While everyone might find this post confusing or upsetting rather I hold a proposition.
I am not in the simply plural discord, if someone can offer a link that would be helpful.
If the creator decides to officially shut down simply plural sooner than expected I want to or rather hope to get a team together and make an app that is similar to simply plural or just help run simply plural. I am currently more wanting to hear what others think about that idea. I also wish to speak to the creator about it and try to see if that could be more beneficial rather than shut the app down entirely.
I see what the people want and I am listening, granted this post might not make everyone happy. Which I fully understand, I wish to hear your opinions. Thank you for reading.
I want to make it easier for systems and plural alike to keep an app that's easy and safe to use. If you're not interested by all means please tell me so. Your opinion matters in this case.
I really want to ..do a Minecraft roleplay..but the lack of friends is bleh..or well MY BROTHER IS TOO BUSY FOR ME (love u) so instead I'm looking at mods and stuff ..need to find more skins tbh!
I want to express my appreciation for everyone’s input! I still feel confused about some things, but I am more inclined to be kinder to others and their experiences.

Our viewpoints will be completely neutral, as this is for research purposes.
To be completely transparent, we have no actual idea what the formative event(s) of our system are, and we're not sure if we ever will. We suspect there may be some amount of trauma and a decent amount of neglect involved somewhere, but it's impossible to make sense of at present.
Our view on origins is we don't really care what anyone's is. A system's origin, a person's origin, is not important to us. Who you are in the present, who you want to be and grow to be in the future? That's what we consider most important.
That said... we also have no clue as to our headmate's origins, most of them. Some of us likely come from trauma or abuse, but we tend not to split in stressful circumstances and we mostly have no clue where headmates come from or how long they've been around.
One of the only headmates we remember the formation of is... something close to willogenic? Although that's not really a term we use, in general.
When it was just myself (Reva), Lyric, Cait, and Roan that we were aware of in the system, we realised we had a problem. We couldn't communicate with each other, almost at all. And we... wondered if we could find / make / assign a headmate to help us figure that out.
As far as I'm aware myself, none of us had a full idea of what we were doing, nor any reason to expect it'd work the way we were wanting and needing. Roan might have? But it's not especially talkative and would generally prefer to let us figure things out on our own, it doesn't tend to like to give answers a lot of the time.
But what we kept seeing repeatedly in headspace was... the four of us, sometimes working in shifts, sometimes all together, dredging up sharp shards of glass from the ocean around our little island that was all we knew of our headspace at the time. Pulling one shard at a time out. Examining it. Sometimes registering a brief flash of emotion or a tiny fragment of a memory contained within, and returning it to the black-iron sands and the sea.
And occasionally, one of us would pick out a shard we liked the look of. I couldn't say what prompted me to pick the handful I chose myself, other than they felt right. Felt correct. Felt needed.
And little by little we amassed a collection of shards along the shore.
I wasn't present or aware for exactly what happened for the next part myself, but my understanding and what I eventually saw is the others created an iron frame for the pieces, a weird sort of 3D sculpture for us to fit the shards into. A metal frame roughly in the shape of a giant bird, about our own height.
And one by one, we slotted the shards into place. They were all different shapes, sizes, colours. Sharp edges on every one of them. We wrought a shape of iron and glass stained every hue, and saw it only briefly when it was done. Not complete, not yet, but as finished as we could make it with the tools we had.
It sat there for a day or two. And then one evening, we were talking to a friend, and someone new came into front. Caught between front and headspace, falling from the sky high above our island, falling into the ocean far below.
I don't think we ever saw it hit the water. I don't think they remember if they did. They fell for a very long time, and then we rented for the night.
We didn't see much of them for a while. I knew Cait was... upset. Angry, almost. Because she had a patient, now. A new headmate, to be sure, but one yet incomplete. Raw with existence, not yet able to comprehend or withstand it, so she protected them.
She felt their pain as they grew into their new form, helped them along, and although it took some weeks... eventually, we saw them again.
This time, the iron-and-glass sculpture was only half there. Flitting between two preferred forms, a tiny little wren that would like to perch on our shoulders, and a roughly humanoid form with some occasional feathery features that was more of an equal standing with us.
But we still often caught glimpses of the original frame. Like it was a trick of the light, almost.
And so we met Wren, and they've been helping us communicate internally ever since. More passively than actively, really. Their presence alone is helpful in making connection with other headmates, although sometimes we do ask them to carry messages more directly, if needed.
But beyond us having memory of their formation, they're no different to any of us in the system.
Hello! We're not endogenic / willogenic, but we do support those bitches like crazy. Our perspective is that the biggest obstacles we've faced so far have been feeling like a freak and feeling like our trauma shouldn't have been enough to cause lasting impacts. We're not sure how common it is for people with zero trauma to end up with a dissociative disorder, but we also think it doesn't really matter. Endogenic / willogenic terms allow people to explore systemhood without the "but it wasn't that bad!" debate. That's good for them (exploring their identities and learning to communicate internally) and it's good for us (larger community = more normalization and acceptance of a wider range of experiences)
Honestly, we sort of view syscourse the same as we do trans discourse or ace discourse. people don't really identify with things that don't apply to them at all, and it's a bit silly to try to judge externally what someone's experience is. Even if you go based on what they've said, people are shit communicators, and they get worse when it's a topic with a lot of emotional impact for them.
Tl;dr — endogenic and willogenic systems are simply exploring their parts in a way that feels safe for them
Thank you, I appreciate your statement!
I must admit that I was initially very anti, but after careful consideration, I don't want to spread hate towards people who are simply trying to understand who they are. Instead, I would prefer to learn more and deepen my understanding of this disorder. As a therapist, it is essential to be open-minded while also adhering to established criteria. Listening to the people around you is crucial for gaining understanding!
I believe that any form of trauma, whether small or large, can have long-lasting impacts. This includes both online and real-life relationships. Therefore, we should avoid trauma shaming due to this.
You are not less valid for not knowing, that's the fun part of education and understanding!
Peace and love 🩷

Our system originally formed through trauma but we have both endogenic and specifically willogenic headmates so we'll share our experiences if that's ok.
Firstly for willogenic it's important to note that that specific form of created plurality is typically practiced by those who are already systems. Willogenic headmates also don't have to be endogenic they can be traumagenic. We use the practice ourselves to elaborate fragments and help with splits that are already occurring. A majority of our willogenic headmates have roles that aren't connected to our trauma but a few of them definitely are(some directly created during a traumatic situation when hyperfixating on the specific characteristics that would make us feel safe in that situation).
As far as endogenic we typically use these labels to help sort which situations alters are most equipped to handle. The main one we use other than willogenic being neurogenic in relation to our autism(which there can be headmates with willogenic, neurogenic and traumagenic origins we mostly base it off what they are most connected to for the main one they use). It can be headmates from hyperfixations that happened in the absence of trauma that weren't connected to it or we have alters that are personifications of autistic masks. Headmates that feel more connected to that aspect of our life tend to feel more comfortable with that label.
Which we tend to go with comfort and how the headmates wish to define themselves over accuracy. There are definitely headmates that likely have trauma related to their formation but were never meant to feel connected to it and choose another origin label. We are fine with them doing that in our system.
Hopefully this was helpful but if you have any questions feel free to ask :)
I appreciate you sharing your experience. It greatly helps me understand! I have a few questions, and I would love to DM you for a more private conversation. I also appreciate your kindness in sharing that means a lot!
hai i just want to tell you that endogenic/willogenic aren't real because systems cant form without trauma (a lot of people forget the trauma because of amnesia or something so think they dont have trauma when they do)
Hello! While I appreciate everyone's point of view that's not what this is for.
I plan to become a therapist one day. I have conducted my own personal studies with the assistance of fellow therapists. I need to be open-minded about others and their well-being. I also wish to study Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) as a part of my own experience. This means I must approach all perspectives with an open mind, especially from a professional and logical standpoint.
According to the DSM-5, there are only two criteria required for a diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). This is a widely accepted standard and not open to debate, as I have discussed it with therapists. To legally meet the criteria for DID, an individual must have two or more distinct personality states as well as recurrent gaps in memory. That is the basis to officially get diagnosed by a professional!
Trauma can be a symptom of various disorders, not just DID. BPD, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia are often confused with DID because they share similarities in brain function. It's surprising!
I'm trying to understand willogenic and endogenic systems, as these may represent people seeking understanding.
(Holy yap fest) I hope you don't take my long explanation to heart! I love sharing information I know, as long as people are kind enough to listen.
Peace and love 🩷

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend, i thought it was spelled Willow like a willow tree. Thank you for correcting me.
I am curious about all aspects of it, I prefer if you'd share your experience with it so I can hope to get an understanding! I hope that makes sense. (;^ω^)
