everyone blow a kiss to Mercury, the god of shopping and thievery, our fearless leader
Hey guys!! So hereās some interesting numbers on shoplifting. Like 70% of stores have CCTVs, only 1 in 48 shoplifters will be caught (donāt let that be you!), and 1 in 2 shoplifters will get the police called on them šØš Stay informed so you know your risks. Also, interesting little fact I read: people who steal stuff tend to have higher IQs since we can visualize many different scenarios of how situations will turn out, and picking a new way to avoid being caught. The more creative you are and use non-precedented ways, the less likely youāll get caught! Think fast, stay safe, and as always, stay stealthy.
People are trying to tell us weāre hurting companies lmao if they can destroy millions of dollars and still make billions of profits we arenāt making a fucking sent in their pockets. Lift as much as you want fuck corporations.
This makes me physically ill to the fucking core. Like people who canāt afford $1.5k for a coat are lesser and unworthy and undeserving to the point theyād rather destroy products. What the fuck. Disgusting, despicable.
Fuck them!
disgusting. just. ew
the gundam lifting (or big items lifting in general) technique is not at all refined and i would not recommend doing it at literally any store besides h0bby l0bby and even then not one you plan on returning to in your life.
all you need for this is a large backpack, a smaller bag, some sort of jacket, and a partner. this IS a 2 person task.
put the small backpack and your jacket inside the bigger backpack so it looks full. it doesnāt make it look COMPLETELY full but itās definitely less suspicious than an empty backpack.
when you find the thing you wanna lift, find somewhere to put it in your bag with no cameras (this is why i only do it at h0bby l0bby bc itās the only place i know with 100% certainty i can shove something THIS large and obvious into my bag without being seen by an employee or accidentally missing a camera). give your partner the small backpack to hold, wrap the gundam (or other large item of choice) in your jacket so the edges arenāt noticeable, zip up your backpack, and there you go! ready to walk out!
this technique is 99% confidence, itās obviously not the most advanced so you NEED to be confident or else youāre way more likely to get caught
this technique is pretty sloppy ngl, i once again canāt stress enough that i wouldnāt do this at any store with decent security and nowhere i plan on returning to. but yeah here it is bc i keep seeing ppl say itās impressive and itās rly,,, not all that
I just did that thinking thing!
Guys!!! i just got an idea im very excited about. plz let me know what u think of it
so what if all the lifters of tumblr got together and decided that for the entire month of december we will not lift anything for ourselves but we will donate everything we lift to people in need and charities. (u can still lift as gifts for ur friends or maybe a thing or two for urself as an xmas gift). think about just how many people in need will benefit. also since december is the month for xmas imagine all the kids who will get nice gifts they might not have been able to get before. December is also usually cold in many places (duhhh winter) so we could try to lift clothes that will help keep people warm like wool socks and long sleeved shirts and scarves etc. we can lift canned items from grocery stores and just everything we can to help people.Ā
im literally sitting in bed giggling and smiling out of excitement. i really want to do this and by december i will have my gold magnet and hook so i can make bigger hauls too :))))) wht do u guys think?
also just a heads-up but shit like gloves, feminine products, socks? nobody ever donates that shit. feminine products are like top-notch shit to donate.
DONATION DECEMBER COME ON LIFTBLR LETS GET ON IT
how do you lift shoes? I am so scared because they can be baulky and thereās two of themš
I usually pick them up together and hold them in one hand, then pull my hand back under something I was already carrying. Usually a jacket I came in with, so SAs wont try and take it from me when going into a fitting room. And yes, you CAN bring jackets around in the summer without looking weird.Ā
Sometimes I just keep them there and walk out, or if I have a large enough structured bag Iāll make sure it was full-ish when I came in and conceal them at the bottom.Ā
reblog for the anon that asked me how i lift shoes
Do you have any tips for lifting groceries? Iām struggling financially right now without as many hours and having to pay rent/tuition...
walkout method works for a lot of people. load up a cart with reusable shopping bags, and toss things in the bags. go up to the front of the store and use the bathroom (where you can change into a disguise is you want to) and waltz out the door
you can also use self checkout methods, ie scan one thing but bag two and immediately put it in your cart, or toss things in reloadable bags but get them out to scan the cheaper things
i donāt see this much in the lifting sphere, but you might also be eligible for snap benefits (aka food stamps) where you might not need to risk it to get food
thereās also stores that donāt specialize in food but are easy to get snacks and drinks at, like world market. not ideal for full meals but can work to be safer and eat/drink something
i hope this helped and i hope you can get some good food ;w;
When lifting groceries I lift w a partner and we do the fake scanning. Also Iāve noticed a lot of food giveaways from food banks and nonprofits recently. Theyāre usually free and for those in need. Iād look in your area for an event like that ! good luck <3
Hey if u guys need an easy and non sus way to throw out tags (soft or hard) uhhh literally just put that shit in a chip bag and throw it away in store. If you want to go the extra mile, bring red food coloring and tissue, and put it over your tags. No ones gonna touch bloody tissue period.
Last year i got some decent clothing items by bringing them to the dressing room w decoys, pulling off the cardboard tags (they have rfids) and putting them in a nutrigrain wrapper. Threw that shit away like i had just finished eating a tasty snack, and left. Dont leave tags behind i swear to god yall dumb as hell. They bulk up security when yalls sloppy asses are hiding hard tags in coat pockets and shit. Dont leave tags behind that employees can find PLEASE
Some days pretty much

iām getting a little worried about these posts iām seeing being spread around calling out new blogs that are interacting with the community. iād understand if it was all anti blogs, or blogs that clearly arenāt lifting that are mass reblogging posts and bringing unwanted attention. but a lot of what iām seeing are newbie blogs with their likes and follows open, or ppl who arenāt familiar enough with our rules to know not to reblog outside the community. on a few occasions itās been revealed that some of these blogs were just ignorant to our rules or didnāt know their way around their blog settings yet, and then we have to backtrack and unblock these ppl who didnāt rly do anything wrong other than act out of naivety :/
i think it might be better to just message these blogs privately to tell them our rules and see how they respond, rather than make a call out post and then message these blogs to see what they say. it saves some regret and time, and keeps us from alienating newbie lifters who joined this community thinking it would be an welcoming place. plus, messaging ppl privately is a lot faster and simpler than making a call out post anyway
pls donāt call out new ppl in the community who donāt know the rules :ā(((( please just message them and show them a post or two that tells them what to do!!! i really want everyone toĀ feel welcome here, and that includes the new people. doesnāt everybody here want this community to grow? to see new hauls? :ā(((((
okay! hereās a little copy paste for when u guys find a new blog that isnāt familiar with the rules!
āhey! i saw youāre new to the lfting community! we have some rules to keep us safe from antis here and following them will help the community be more safe and welcoming for you and everyone else.
first of all we turn off likes and follows from being displayed publicly. you can do this by tapping the gear icon, going to the āpagesā tab, and then toggling the settings from there. while youāre at it go to the āvisibilityā page under the gear icon and hide yourself from web searches. this makes it harder for antis to track down lfting blogs en mass.
secondly try not to reblog outside of the community, or expose community posts to outsiders by reblogging on your main. if you accidentally reblog, no worries! it happens to the best of us. just be sure to delete the post as soon as possible so that others canāt see it. itās also an unspoken rule that we donāt reblog posts in the community with over 500 notes as they tend to be older and have antis lurking on them.
lastly if you ever want to post a haul be sure to remove the exif data from photos. you can do this easily by going in web browser and searching up āexif data removerā and removing the data from there. when mentioning store names on posts/hauls (or other commonly searched words) try and deviate them from their usual spellings. for example āh@bby l@bbyā or āh0t t0pĆCā.
not following these rules can make other blogs in the community suspicious/anxious and often times get you blocked. we try our best to be a close knit and kind community and hope this has been helpful in teaching you how to navigate it!ā
on the last point, id actually like to see liftblr move away from replacing letters in store names with symbols, as this can make it incredibly different for many people (like those with dyslexia or using a screen reader) to understand what a post is saying. there is a specific setting you can turn on under āvisibilityā that hides you from tumblr searches, so nobody will ever see posts with uncensored store names unless theyre looking at a reblog of your post
I have a pal who's a lf//tr and wants to join the community and this is perfect for them!!!! its nice to educate before going off at someone ajsbajsh
Fun thing I discovered for my crafty babes: if youāre buying yarn, especially chunky yarn, you can shove smaller items in the yarn and if youāre using self check out, the weight usually isnāt enough to trip the scale. I didnāt grab a basket or anything and got several skeins of yarn and was able to shove a couple nail polishes in them while I walked around and no one ever looked my way āØ
Holy fuck this is genius
Reboot if youāre a lifter thatās into witchcraft āØš„šæāļø

Wannabe liftr in late 20s.. I wanted to know a good technique to lift groceries.. Iāve read a lot of techniques but Iām worried about cameras, if I canāt see them. Only have liftd a few things that go unnoticed while also paying for other things. I donāt have them balls to do major hauls yet but would love to. Any advice? I love your blog btw! :)
>>Hey! Thanks for the love. When lifting groceries, itās important to understand what type of store youāre dealing with. Is it a big box supermarket, or a small one? A dollar store might seem easy to lift from, but many are notoriously hard on lifters. In my area, I only have big box grocery stores. I am not in a position of financial worry, so I am able to half-buy, half-lift my groceries.
If youāre able to do this, make sure you look the part. Put your purse in the basket of the cart, and put your notebook with grocery list in the child seat. As you fill your cart, plan on buying the cheap stuff and lifting the expensive stuff. Beware that meat packages may have RFID tags (Kroger does this). As you browse the aisles, scan the ceiling for cameras. Never conceal in high-risk areas, like health and beauty, near the pharmacy, or in the alcohol section. Good aisles for me personally to conceal in are in the pet aisle, bulk paper goods, and frozen.
When youāve got your purse or bag in the basket, you surreptitiously slip the items you want to lift into your bag, when you place an item into your cart. Every so often, pretend youāre rearranging your cart. You can make it easily look like youāre fussy about how your cart is arranged.
Iāve never been caught lifting this way. I do not have any advice on how to lift groceries without buying anything, unless the store is going out of business. I do full-cart walkouts on those by bagging my groceries in reusable bags as I shop, then wandering out the door if Iām able to easily.
