“Ah!” Flash gasps when he was grabbed by the other from behind, his own sensors hadn’t picked him up properly. Clearly they needed to be calibrated, but Air was right, Flash wasn’t a fighter. If he was in real danger, 014 would have most likely booked it out of there, dropping a time stopper behind him to give him a head start.  

“Air.” He rumbles, his surprise fading into a soft smile filled with more teeth then necessary. “Alright, lead on.” His smile turns into a grin as he follows after the bigger bot.

A red glow emits against Flash’s neck. There’s a low, steady hum of Air’s systems as a wanton energy courses through him. “Gladly.” He takes Flash’s wrist and drags him away from the dark lounge. He’s grinning wickedly, trying not to feed off the other’s surprise. 

Perhaps there’s nothing better left to do, so every ounce of fear he could spur in another he’d swim in it. He was in control, always.

“I must confess, my room is boring,” he rumbles, “There’s always that lair of yours.” It’s not a question.

Flash pushed away from his computers, the cables unplugging as he stood and walks off to find Air. His locator telling him that Air was near his room. “Air?” He calls out as he moves through the dark, metal halls of the 2nd Gen territory. Alot of the old bulbs for it had died long ago, but the robots didn’t need light bulbs to see, so he could easily move around the detritus of the years. 

“Air?” He asks again as he looks into an ikea filled room that had been once a lab but was now a common area and kitchen to cook for Doctor Wily. Lazy old fart.

In the common room Air was nowhere in sight, but 010 was clearly on Flash’s locator. He had to be somewhere in the shadows, watching him meander around the Ikea furniture that’s constantly being replaced or repaired. (Robots weren’t light.) He was close. Too close. Flash could likely sense something or someone standing over him. 

And it was just getting closer until.

“Might I suggest searching the corridors again? We’re sure to find him,” said a deep voice facetiously.

Any Wilybot with half a brain knew better never to sneak up on another DWN. But, of course, this was Airman. Neither short of brains nor brawn, Flash attacking him was literally the least of his concerns.

His sudden grip on Flash equally strong and handsy, pushing himself against the back of the other’s neck. No smell of oil or old metal, must have been at the computers today. “We have no business here. Come with me.”

It took forever to get Bass off his lazy tukhus to help me rob the Boston Market so I hope you’re all appreciative! Let me tell you, there isn’t really a lot of restaurants nearby, let alone Boston Market, considering it’s in BOSTON.

What? It was yesterday? Blasted timezones! Well, the food is ….residually warm and that’s all that REALLY matters. Just- when you take off the lids, made sure don’t let any of the lid water run off into the potatoes, that’s disgusting. You’re robots, not animals.

I reflect on this sometimes, as it’s only logical. After all, I carry out his orders and want to preserve our line. Do I not? 

So I would have to say that–even now, in his venerable years–my relationship with the Doctor is the same as it once was. I try to value what limited time we’ll have with him.
