I found this old piece I did for representational drawing two or three years ago. This was a simple copy project. Find a picture of a celebrity and draw it free hand. I found this quote the other night and thought I would use it for my #motivationmonday post. It's important to be passionate about something, especially when it comes to your career. When people ask me what I do for a living I tell them I'm a graphic designer. I'm not the best in the world, but it makes me feel good which is all that matters.
This is the evolution of my first personal logo I did for my portfolio preparation class. It took me three redesigns before I was happy with it. I ended up with something clean and minimal which is the style I dig the most. 😎

I took a few days off from Instagram, but I'm back. I got a lot to say today. So I may be posting things like this through out the day with some commentary,and I hope you take the time to read it. Anyway, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about my life, career, all the good things, and all the bad. Unfortunately there's more bad than good. But what's done is done. I can't go back I can only move forward. So, today, I finally decided to make some serious life changes. My hope is that I'll come out of this a better person, a new man so to speak. I already feel like a different person. I just need to take it one day at a time...
Here is this week's #throwbackthursday piece. This is a picture I took at McWay Falls in Big Sur. You should check it out if you've never been there. Anyway, I started doing an oil painting of this image but it's nowhere near complete. I haven't touched an actual canvas in months.
