I’d be insufferable, if I had to stitch my own laser wounds in the bathtub using my phone flashlight and then it cuts out because I got added to some fuck ass group chat named ‘we have to talk’ with 20 members id actually crash out so hard.

Peters gotta have a patience of steel because no wonder he blew up on Tony and made stupid decisions during the Homecoming movie? Like bitch you can’t even be bothered to respond to my calls, get the actual fuck out of my face, I’ve got an alien weapons ring to bust at seven and and an annotated Case Study due at 11:59 I’m not doing this shit rn?

Peter walks into his chemistry class drenched in blood sweat and dirt with a vaguely haunted look and other very sleep deprived AP student who are using their lunch period to make up the lab nod in solidarity as if this is a relatable experience.

He submits his preparation worksheet to the teacher and there’s just an entire bloody handprint thats definitely not his being dragged down the border of the paper. However he also greeted the teacher when he entered and knocked before walking in so they might ignore that.

Peter should be the mix of deranged and polite that makes him trusted by both lost grandmothers and subway crackheads.

Thinking again about the MacLean siblings, and about how, despite Norm’s lack of proactivity, the truth is that a large part of his deep existential boredom was based on the absence of real stimuli and on perceiving everything around him as boringly simple, to the point that he saw no sense in making an effort at anything, because nothing would ever have a real impact on his life. But the moment he finds something that represents a challenge, it not only captures his attention but becomes an obsession, and he proves not only to be fully competent, but above average. This leads him to break every rule in order to reach the end of his investigation, and once he does, he uses every possible means and manipulation to get his way.

Meanwhile, there is Lucy, who is naturally proactive. She always sought out her own motivations and ways to train herself and constantly prove herself, and to prove as well that she could be a useful and exemplary member of society, another cog in the machine, to the point of becoming extraordinary. So much so that when she steps out into the real world, she is not only able to survive, but imposes as a rule never to let anything or anyone make her lose her essence or her scale of values, not even after discovering that all of it is a lie. In fact, knowing that it is a lie only makes her even more stubborn about proving that, despite everything, she is willing to be the example.

And how the two of them, in one way or another, embody the two sides of Hank: on the one hand, the morally relativistic side that believes the end justifies the means and is capable of using people in order to achieve its goals, which we see in Norm; and on the other, that idyllic moral objective of the exemplary citizen of a dreamed-up, nonexistent society, which remained a wishful idea and lives on in Lucy. And how both of them, each in their own way, are just like him in being absolutely and extremely stubborn—to the point that when they set their minds on something, there is no god, no conspiracies, no apocalypse, no radiation, no cryogenisation, no bullshit that can stop them.
