âWhat is there to do on a boring Monday night?â
âMake your own fun, duh.â
âWell, I guess, if going to college makes me an overachiever.â
âWhich it does.â
Josie Starter
An alarm sounded, and a hand popped out from underneath the covers, hitting the off button on the clock to turn the increasingly annoying sound off. Josie finally got around to pushing the rest of the covers off of her, and grabbed her outfit for the day off of the dresser where she had put it. She got in the shower, cleaning up and when she was done, dried off and brushed through her tangles. She applied her makeup, before putting on her clothes: a white knee length v-neck dress with a black leather jacket and silver flats. She added a necklace that was the letter J for her name, with blue sapphires inside it.
Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she left her room and went to knock on her twinâs room. Josie made sure to knock pretty loudly, to gather her sisterâs attention. âLizzie, come on.â She said, they were going to walk through New Orleans, and go to Rousseauâs. There was always something supernatural going on in this town, and Josie enjoyed being involved and showing off her siphoning abilities, because then she could do magic afterwards.
She went downstairs and grabbed a glass of orange juice, drinking it down in one gulp. She didnât bother to pay attention to anything that her parents or siblings were saying, it didnât concern her. Though, sometimes she could be sweet and innocent, Josie still had a rebellious streak in her. She enjoyed doing her own thing, and causing some trouble here and there. Itâs what gave life meaning for her, there was no point in trying to be a goody-two-shoes, not in New Orleans. Those types usually were the very first victims for the supernatural, especially vampires, because they were unsuspecting. She headed out the door, not wanting to wait for Lizzie any longer, and wrapped her jacket tighter around her. Lizzie could just catch up when she had the chance. Josie walked through the streets of the quarter, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, which wasnât saying much.
Wondering around the Quarter, Adelaide snooped around trying desperately to find something to do. Preferably something fun, but sheâd settle for anything at this point. Once again, Her mother was on her case about chilling out and settling down for a little while. Per usual, Adelaide refused. Which only annoyed her mother and pissed her off in the process, but there was no changing her ways. The petite and innocent looking Petrova would probably never do that, not again. Sheâd tried once, really she had. But well... The saying âHell hath no fury like a woman scornedâ was a living embodiment for her.
Spotting something from the corner of her eye, Adelaide set off after it and ended up conveniently in an alleyway with some poor soul. One who never once saw her coming, nor their quick demise. Pleased with the neck snap, mostly the sound it made, the brunette took to draining them of some of their oh so delicious blood before kicking them away and burying them beneath boxes laying there. Once that was done, she made her way to the mouth of the alley once more and leaned against the wall as someone passed by.
âOh no, Iâm not an overachiever. But if I want to finish my degree on time, then I needed to take a summer class.â
âDegree? Summer class? I stand by my first thought. Definite over achiever.â
âI know I really should have, Iâm too lazy to even do this shit.â
âA lazy overachiever, huh? How interesting.â
âRemind me again never to take a summer course. Its too damn hot to sit inside a classroom for 2 hours listening to a professor drone on about chemistry.â
âYou shouldâve known that was a stupid idea to start with.â
âCan I help you?â
âProbably not. You donât seem the helpful type.â
A small smirk played on her lips before she shook her head. âOh Iâm positive itâs not my job. Iâm not the maid.â she quipped. âI couldnât possibly handle another hobby. I have far to much on my plate as it is.â Shifting herself a little she smiled. âI could use an assistant. Youâre kind of cute and you donât outshine me. The job is yours if you want it. I mean I could use someone to try these clothes on and Iâm sure theyâd look cute on you.â she offered. âIâm not just a little witch.â she added.Â
âYou see, thatâs where youâre wrong. Just like a maid, you can be replaced. Therefore, Same purpose. Same job.â Adelaide quipped back, her eyes narrowed as she circled the girl. âExcuse me, little girl?â She questioned, stopping just behind her. âPetrovaâs run the show. Not assist.â She added, easily reaching out and swiftly knocking the blonde out. Watching as she dropped, Ade smirked to herself. âYou really should watch who you run your pretty little mouth at.â With that said, The brunette grabbed one of the males nearby and took off to a balcony. Leaving the girl on the ground and other non helpfuls to deal with the issue while she watched from above.
âPeasents huh? Nothing more creative than that?â A small smirk curved at her lips before she shook her head. âLuckily itâs not my job to entertain you. I thought thatâs what men were for. Go find you one. I hear the Mikaelson men will sleep with anyone these days. Try your luck there.âÂ
Hearing a girls voice, Adelaide located her before crossing her arms. âAre you sure itâs not your job, darling? To me, it sounds like you need a hobby anyways beside belittling men you havenât the slightest clue about.â She quipped back, tossing her hair off her shoulder as she moved toward the girl. âFor just a little witch, you sure are a lot of negative talk and zero action.â
Kassidy was doing her own thing when she heard Adelaideâs voice coming from around the corner. She had to go check it out for herself and stood in the doorway to see if anyone was volunteering.Â
Watching the lost eyes of the soles around her, Adelaide sighed dramatically before moving through them. Coming to the end, she spotted a familiar face by the doorway. âHello again, Kassidy.â She smiled her usual overly sweet smile as she neared the girl, before turning back. âAlright people. We have company, you donât want to disappoint her as well as I do you? Step forward now and perhaps theyâll be a reward of sorts.â
"Alright peasants. Someone entertain me.â Adelaide demanded, pursing her lips as she closed an eye for a moment before turning around to see if there were any takers.

With crossed arms, Adelaide watched the other as they spun around. A devious smirk playing on her lips at the girls question. âPerhaps.â She answered simply, circling the girl and the fallen victim which she kicked at and made a pouty face. âWouldâve been more enjoyable if itâd been done my way though.â
âThereâs a lot of vampires and werewolves and hybrids, the list goes on, basically I just want to be on my A game if anyone were to get angry and try to hurt me or you.â
âTell me something I donât know.â The smaller brunette rolled her eyes, checking her nails before looking to her mother again. âFor the record, I can handle myself mother.â
I find laying in the road away from people to be therapeutic but now that youâve gone and interrupted me what do you want?
âSo be it for me to stop you. Enjoy your funeral darling.â
âHold it steady so I can kick it, you keep moving it.â
With a sigh, Adelaide roughly pushed the person out of the way and took over. "What are you doing, mother? You look like a try hard, and that one? Yeah, Total idiot."
Anora was walking around late at night when she heard someone following her, she twisted her Moonlight Ring around her finger as she walked, still hearing the footsteps behind her she let out a growl, a snarl before turning around to see who was there. âJesus, donât do that, I was about ready to hulk out on you.â
Turning the corner when she saw someone, Adelaide stalked the person. Enjoying the fact that she was surely freaking them out, with a smirk upon her face. âDonât do what?â She asked, innocent tone to her voice per usual.
âI wonder, if I cut off all the fat from my stomach how long it would take to heal.â
âYou poor thing. Do you really think youâd survive such a thing?â
