The fox had been the one to abandon Akura-Ou for Yukiji, and it was clear that the oni wasn’t going to let him forget that anytime soon- if ever.

“I don’t know, not allowing you to mess up my kimonos?” He tried with a small sarcastic hint, but dialed back on it, as he didn’t yet know what kind of mood his dearest ‘brother’ and friend was wearing as he came into this.

Fortunately, Tomoe could be quite crafty like his namesake youkai- the fox.

“Why don’t we cease this talk about the past? We can catch up for old times sake, instead. You always were rather fond of the sake stock that I acquired from.. places.” He wasn’t going to bring up the memory of the Tanuki girls either. It would be a sentence for sure destruction of the shrine.

Perhaps, having his body back in the more modern of times could prove to be a good thing? The demon king's entire expression changed and his eyes lit up. Tomoe's plan had undoubtedly worked. For now. "Sake? I haven't had a good drink of sake in ages," at least, not the sort of drink that individuals such as himself and the fox could drink. "So then, brother, what fun things are there to do?" In the meantime, he'd keep his eyes open and alert if Nanami decided to appear again.

Akura is usually fairly stone-faced. However, when he is happy, it is very obvious. A smile full of teath, and the air filled with hearty and boisterous laughter.

Sometimes one just couldn’t win when it came to dealing with the great Akura-Ou. The fox’s violet optics seemed to distance as he remembered just what great crime he had committed against the oni to begin with. What had happened would haunt the fox forever.

Yukiji.. His mind reminded him, before regaining their brightness once again to stare down the fire loving oni.
