Since the whole spat incident has turned me into a ball of rage and fury, why don't you hit my askbox with your most unpopular opinion about motogp and help me not to go to jail overnight? Let's vent together!

Apparently an unpopular opinion, but – what's this thing where we compare whatever kindergarten-level spat is going on between Kimi and George to the total meltdown that was Brocedes? It’s concerning, other than offensive, because the Silver War had a massive impact on the sport, it tore a team apart and seriously put into question Lewis’s morality and Nico’s sanity. But yeah, sure, totally the same thing. Leave my sport alone, the new regs are already doing enough damage.
ill never recover from the genuine rumours about dani being a girl and the general horrific misogyny and transphobia around the time - and typing this i realize how old i am as it was the same time as the tabloids lost their minds about rumours of anastacia being a man or whatever. 😭
I COULD NEVER FORGET ANON, I COULD NEVER FORGET
alright, this one is going to be extra unpopular: I FCKIN HATE SILLY SEASON. I hate speculation, I hate when everyone has an opinion, I hate that everyone's always WRONG. Can we stick to watching the races and having fun without making theories???? This isn't Phineas and Ferb y'know
LMAO I'M TOTALLY REUSING "THIS ISN'T PHINEAS AND FERB" HONESTLY
Let's dive into the ask: I agree that the democratisation of opinions given by social media is a modern plague. Posting so many rumors online could put riders in weird positions (see: Álex having to state that Ducati still treats all the riders fairly DESPITE the speculation surrounding them) and also...I always prefer hearing things from the riders themselves instead of twitteruser1234 posting about his vibes, lol
Bonus: IF I SEE ONE MORE PECCO TO YAMAHA RUMOR OR ANY SPECULATION OF SORTS ABOUT MARC'S ARM, I'LL USE THAT SPECIFIC ARM TO THREATEN VIOLENCE AND MANSLAUGHTER.
imo ao3 is 10x more serious/nuanced than Tumblr. "babygirlifying" has its place on both, but especially tumblr
Yeah, but at least in fanfiction it's funnier 😂😂 (you're totally right anon, anyway)
not most unhinged per say but the tendency to baby marc to the extent that the narrative has become mainstream and people act like he wasn’t a grown, heavily pr-regulated and fully capable of understanding his own media power little man ….
it’s not as simple as uh oh evil washed vale bullied a child
duality is sexy
What do you mean? Isn't he a 396,271 months old baby? Blimey!
Jokes aside, I very much second this, anon! No real hate towards Marc, but let's keep the babyfying shit on Ao3, thank you.
I'm gonna say one thing about the rpf incident: if someone googles their name, ao3 doesn't come up for at least four pages. A rider/driver must be very very dedicated, if he wants to read about himself fucking another man specifically...as for s.pat though, that man is the human equivalent of a headache. I hope he has the worst day possible :)
me watching massimo rivola interviews feverishly realizing that any massimo/bez fic actually has to be about the tragic history of massimo/jules bianchi who he mentored and told to pick the number 17 despite it being bad luck in italy because it's massimo's own lucky number and then jules died and now massimo wears a number 17 necklace at all times and regards it as the tragedy and greatest loss of his life and so you can't write a fun massimo rivola/bez fic without contemplating what it means to live a life where you watch the golden boys of motorsports come and go as you hold the responsibility you have for their lives in your aging hands like...
then like wait i'm the only person on earth who has watched the english subtitles of massimo rivola on the 40 minute "cappuccino and brioche" italian entrepreneurship podcast so actually no the fic doesn't have to be about that because no one fucking knows anything about any of that
Yeah, well, nobody else really – except the Italians who watched Cappuccino and Brioche in the original version, crying into their cappuccino and brioche. Hello, it's me, I'm one of the italians, not that it makes me superior (or does it?)
Why do we constantly feel the need to compete with each other in this fandom? As if everything was some sort of test you have to pass if you supposedly know more facts… what the fuck is the point? This isn’t really an open question – it’s just a reflection.
There's a whole world BESIDES what you see on tumblr, there's always something you don't know.
You know who knows everything? The dead.
And probably Helmut Marko, since he clearly made a deal with the devil at some points.
Besides that, we are all on the same level – knowing Rivola has a certain number of moles won't make me better than anyone else (unfortunately). If something's new to you, it doesn't make it new to anyone else.
everything i say on this blog MUST be taken 100% literally and is never ever a self-deprecating joke about finding myself down a rabbithole of rpf research.
glad we all learned something today! 😁

People who spent years delegitimizing Max’s 2021 win (and we’re not here to talk about that, back off) will suddenly use it as a benchmark to legitimize Lando’s championship.
Your driver isn't the joke – you are.
I'm deeply puzzled by how people on here are...so concerned with Valentino's marital status? Like, come on, it's very common in Italy not to get married EVER, even after 25+ years of committed relationship. Let's not make assumptions based on completely whacky cultural biases...
As a certified old person TM, I'm pretty sure that if more of you people were actively watching MotoGP ten years ago, you would understand that Vale's supposed paranoia only makes up 20% of what the 2015 season was all about, but you're not really ready to hear this, aren't you?
Year of the Lord 2025 and I still have to hear "He crashed into Marc on purpose".
Mary Sue, I don't know how to break it up to you, but these are grown and relatively normal men riding fast bikes, not Pennywise the Clown chasing you with his trike.
Not to mention that the only thing Valentino would pay for is shut your fucking mouth. Ain't no way we are fighting conspiracy theories about Ducati's sabotage with something even less plausible.
You are no lawyer (nor a doctor), Mary Sue, please go back playing with your dolls.
Marc Marquez, 9-time Grand Prix motorcycle racing champion.

Something something about haunting the narrative: did you know that Valentino Rossi also secured his 8th world title on the 28th of September 2008, at the Japanese Grand Prix? Something something about Marc Marquez doing the same just seventeen years later. Oh, the narrative is J U I C Y.
Quick question: Did Casey Stoner switch Marc and Pecco's bike overnight?
