a matte-coated head tilted to one side as his friend let a laught escape her.

「 consider me suprised, mistress athena - although i must admit, your approval does provide some form of comfort. 」

a metallic claw, accented in gold, rested itself upon her hand - this was probably the first time they actually made contact. it was a strange moment.

「 i would be elated too, mistress athena. every moment in your presence is a moment of the divines. 」

the contact is, as zenyatta thought, strange.

for a being who spent her entire life as code, physical contact held little attraction for her. being able to feel is sometimes too much; overwhelming and loud. but there are other times, athena has come to find, when it can be welcomed. enjoyed, even.

a hand in hers, the soft hum of mechanical parts combined with the warmth of metallic flesh-- it is welcomed. her fingers curl around his. he is welcomed, strange as it may be.

“you flatter me, master zenyatta.” she turns, to lead him through the gardens. the goddess refuses to release his hand. “here, we are equal. i’m afraid my divinity isn’t what it used to be.”

she holds up a hand, taking a moment to simply cycle air through her systems. shoulders rise and fall in a sigh. her eyes gaze upward, as though searching for someone who can provide answers. finally, though, she just turns back to the cowboy.

“why, agent mccree?”

she chuckles softly, unable to help herself.

“good. for them to touch any of my people without consent, they deserved that and much more.” one hand extends, fingers curled slightly; an offer. “care to walk with me, master zenyatta? i have some free time.”

okay end of the month is today, which means my workload should subside just a bit??? hopefully i’ll be on later today/tonight, so.

i started a new position and they got me working full time at the office instead of work from home smh

“That was nice of ‘him.” McCree wasn’t too close with Winston but he seemed like a good guy(?, gorilla?). Anyways McCree had been wondering what her body was, but hadn’t worked up the nerve to ask. 

“No problem ms, so should I go grab my stuff so we can head out to get ya something to help with the tiredness?”

“oh, i can make it through the day easy enough, but we still need supplies for our omnic agents. unlike myself, they are used to being able to eat and rest in a similar fashion to humans.” it isn’t entirely true, but it’s the closest thing she has to a parallel for the good agent. “and then we can pick up some things for you and the other humans, as well.”
