Spent nearly 100 hours making this cosplay and literally nobody recognized me and I won nothing. I can never compete/wear it again bc it physically hurt me so badly to the point of collapse multiple times. I’m considering dropping cosplay as I hobby bc I’ve done it for years and only ever won something when I matched with my friend and Phoenix Wright n Miles Edgeworth. My friend won judges choice today btw. I’m not mad at him I’m just so frustrated that I’ve spent years putting in so much effort for absolutely no recognition in any way. It’s 11 pm and there’s still another day of con tmw but I’m just so upset rn idk

If you haven’t yet, pls pls pls watch the movie Moses the Black. It is a beautiful and fascinating movie that I don’t think is in theaters anymore where I saw it but it might be on streaming. It’s fairly niche and is about the intersection between Chicago gang violence and orthodox Christianity but if you want a black film that’s really different I highly recommend it
