I have a #substack
It's whatever you like really
Not every day has to count. Some days are for repairing, resting, mourning. You don't have to perform every day. Some days are for doing nothing. For sleeping all day or being on your phone. Relaxing is ok, allowed and encouraged. Do what you need to do.

you're smart enough to know the difference between resting and rotting. you'll be happier when you choose to spend your time off restoring your energy and preparing for the next busy day instead of oversleeping and mindlessly consuming content.
Same energy.
A full moon looks pretty but does it really affect people? Well, yes and no. Astrology says yes while the science says no or inconclusive.
What I found across the board was that with a full moon; sleep is affected. As to why this happens, the research is still unclear.
I really think that this topic is a subjective one; depending on the individual beliefs, background and their own observations.
Regularly making sure you're doing your best to get where you want; why don't you do that when the full moon comes around?
I look at the full moon as a time to remember to recharge yourself and check that what you're doing is on track with your goals.
There are all sorts of myths about the moon and how it affects humans. But does a full moon really transform our human nature? Here's the ps
For centuries, the full moon has been blamed for surges in crime and bizarre human behavior. Despite repeated dismissal of this theory by sc
Some studies show a small association between the full moon and some aspects of health. Learn more about the full moon's effects here.
The full moon brings energetic culminations. It happens every month when our two luminaries, the sun and moon, clash across the sky. Our ful
The older I get the more I feel to get in touch with these ideas as I can learn something new and see something from a different angle. I can see that this world is massive and I won't be able to learn all of it's mysteries but I can take on a little of everything to see the beauty in my surroundings.
Went to Devil's Den by myself - did a review, not a vlog. Don't like Vlogging too much - spend the day with a camera in your face and not looking at what's around you. So I just did a review.
Sleep with your phone Off
Everyone needs to rest. We understand that but how about everyTHING needs a rest? What are we on everyday? Our phones! It's almost become a part of our appendages with how often we use them and are almost needed for normal life. The reason I bring this up is to help improve sleep and recovery for for everyone. You need rest and so does the phone. Especially since there's been studies out showing that even sleeping next to your phone isn't a good idea. Link: Put your phone far away There was also a case from 2021 showing that the for adolescents, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) failed to consider harmful effects from wireless radiation and 5G Now for a full grown adult I'm sure we're stronger but not immune to the effects of regular radiofrequency energy. "The evidence includes a letter from the American Academy of Pediatrics, experts’ letters regarding the effects on children, the BioInitiative Report and many studies including a study showing that one year of cell phone use by adolescents can lead to permanent damage to memory and other brain effects." Link: FCC don’t care about kids When I go to sleep, I either turn off the phone or switch it to flight mode and leave it away from the bed (about 2 meters away). This is to remove the distraction of the phone before bed, let the machine rest and to avoid any excess harm from the phone.
I gotta ask, how do people, like, do stuff???
here’s what i’ve figured out so far:
-gotta have eat first
-gotta sleep enough first
(seriously so many days i’m like “i have all afternoon I’ma Do a Thing” and then i just kinda buzz around and do Nothing and think “WHY” and then i’m like “oh yeah i’m really fuckening tired”)
-gotta be Excited About It (ADHD brain only does things if they’re Literally the Most Interesting Thing Happening Right Now) (so like, hype yourself up to work on a project, or think about how happy you’ll be with a cleaner room/all those chores done)
-gotta have small, doable first step (like, “get cloth from fabric drawer” or “open google docs”
-FUCK distractions (computer is in drawer, phone is Off)
-Engage the Senses (if task needs Brain, play vague background Music, if task needs No Brain, listen to audiobook/podcast)
-maybe set time limit so i don’t get lost??? e.g. i have a little egg timer that i use because the ticking isn’t distracting but is enough to remind me that Time is a Thing that is Passing Right Now
-gotta have Self Awareness and Thinky about the Moment (get into the habit of Consciously Noticing what you’re doing at the moment, so you’re more likely to go “wait, this isn’t what i wanted to be doing” and be able to redirect)
-be willing to redirect and try to do something else if whatever you want to do Just Isn’t Happening
-DON’T beat yourself up for only doing part of something, or failing entirely- all that does is make your brain associate “trying to do stuff” with “well that SUCKED”. Which means you don’t want to try again. Tell urself u did good for trying, and if it didn’t work, try again later, or figure out why it didn’t work and try a different way. Reward yourself for trying
this is what i’ve figured out about cajoling the Thinky No Worky Brain into Doing Stuff. it’s not 100% reliable, especially if I forget to do some of these things (like SLEEP), but it’s what i got, ya know??
I wasn’t actually expecting any answers when I made that post but damn this is really helpful, thank you <3
Get back to it
I think this is a good place to note my current mood, feeling and internal debate I have not been to the gym in about 2 weeks. It’s my 2nd day on my period and I feel very very bloated, lazy and jiggly. I do not feel like moving at ALL But I have it scheduled to go to the gym today at 2:00pm. It’s in my calendar I gotta do it.
I’ve already told myself about 16 times that I don’t feel good, I shouldn’t go today. I have my period, I shouldn’t go today. I look bloated, fat so I shouldn’t go today.
With that last argument I had another voice in my head say “Exercise will help with that” Took me by surprise. But that voice was right. What is the gym for? It’s a workspace where people go to improve themselves. They go there for physique, therapy, boredom but they all seem to have a good goal
Why shouldn’t I go then? I don’t feel that fabulous yes but to help, why not get out of the house to move? If I feel bloated and giggly, I’m sure moving will help Just a few thoughts I have before I put my shoes on to get to the gym!
