Well, the cat was out of the bag now.  Soma would have to settle with an explanation.  He was not the kind of youth who would put himself through trouble just for the thrill of it, but sometimes he felt as though he was too out of place amongst those around his age.  In college he has proven himself to be quite the loner, even though he has made a few attempts to live his life as an ordinary human being.

In the end, he was always far from that.

❝ I guess I’m just trying to find ways to get along with people my age.  It’s a little weird --- I’ve been too used to hanging out with Mina and the others... ❞

As if on cue, Julius bashfully (but subtly) wiped his hand along his mouth and chin to play off the smile that had blossomed lightly. There was no regret in smiling, rather instead there was this sense of timidness to be caught on doing something he rarely did. 

But he eased,

“It been a while indeed…” He murmured rather gently, but audible enough. Both were about their own lives. Soma was a student and Julius himself, while keeping to the profession, had taken on an apprentice named Curtis Lang. “I trust you’ve been well, correct?”

Julius felt a little silly at asking such a question. Of course, he’s been well (the old man hoped). Casual talk tended to be hard nowadays.

✞ ---  Although his smile has decreased slightly, he still radiated positive energy.  It was rather odd how the two of them have grown together with a strong bond of trust, memories of old battles still fresh in their hearts.  After all, Julius was a Belmont, a vampire killer, and Soma was still known as the reincarnated Dracula --- still destined as a dark lord, even when he proven himself to be his own, true self.

❝ Yeah, I’ve been okay.  I’m not sure if you know anything about college, but it can get a little difficult sometimes. ❞

With a tilt of the head, Soma gave the old Belmont a curious look.

❝ You seem okay too, I think.  I hope you’re not pushing yourself these days. ❞

✞ ---  Julius smiling in return was a rare moment, one that Soma would surely keep a mind for a while.  He felt grateful to see the old Belmont again.  After what seemed to be months apart, the white-haired youth with his studies and Julius Belmont with... well, was he still training that apprentice of his ?  Soma wasn’t entirely sure anymore, but he kept the thought ready in case he wanted to bring it up later.

❝ I’m just glad to see you, Old Man.  It’s been a while, you know. ❞

An explanation to why you hear a different theme (Heart of Fire) whenever you're at the castle's enterance in AoS

Julius: *Makin' his way in the castle, struttin' like a boss with headphones on that play Heart of Fire in loops*

Alucard: *Gets annoyed and jinxes the music player to stop working whenever he leaves the castle enterance*

Julius: Alright, moving on to the next area---- W-why did it stop working?! D:
