It’s only fanfic if it’s from the Fanfique region of France. Otherwise it’s just sparkling pornography.

Relationships: Howard/aliens, Eventual Howard Moon/Vince Noir
Summary: The crackening is happening! In the aftermath of being kidnapped and impregnated by an alien race, Howard must navigate the trials and tribulations of being a single father. Luckily, he has Vince and the Shaman Council by his side.
Sighing again, Howard stared out at the sky, resolutely ignoring the chatter and clamor of all the revelling partygoers in the streets below. It was a Saturday night in London town, and it seemed like everyone in the whole city was out with their mates, getting drunk, having fun, getting off . Their existence was alien to a man like Howard, a pathetic 33-year-old virgin who sat on the peaked roof of the little townhouse, silently staring at nothing, all by himself without even the moon for company.
The sound of his self-pitying contemplation was punctuated with a low, thrumming pulse. He assumed it was from the raucous music playing in the flat, or elsewhere in the city, but it seemed to grow louder, the steady hum getting closer and closer. Howard tried to ignore it and resume his martyrdom, but when the roof tiles started vibrating beneath him with the reverberations of the sound, he could ignore it no longer.
Before Howard realized what was happening, the sky turned white. Blindly, he teetered, grabbing at the tile in panic, but it was no use–Howard was airborne. He screamed and closed his eyes, certain that he would fall to his death at the age of 33, before he’d even begun to peak (or lose his virginity, for that matter), but when several seconds passed and he was still airborne, Howard noticed something strange… he wasn’t falling down. In fact, he seemed to be falling up.
Howard screamed again, then passed out in midair. Just before he lost consciousness, he caught a glimpse of a massive silver spaceship, hovering directly above him. Then the world went black, and Howard knew no more.

what can we do to help amazon? everyone is saying that no-one gives a fuck about it, but no one is giving information how to help the situation :(
The “no-on gives a fuck” is about worldwide media not talking about this. But it’s really nice of you to want to help us.
You can donate here if you want to help stop the exploitation and deforestation of Amazon. The president, who calls himself “Captain Eletric Saw,” allows the exploitation and destruction of the Amazon for economic ends.
You can also donate to SOS AMAZONIA here. They are the biggest NGO in Brazil and they work with implantation of public policies that aims into preservation of the Amazon and it’s people.
They are both helping the Amazon right now!
Always good to remember: USD$1,00 = RS$4,04 and €1,00 = RS$4,48. So, even if you can help just a tiny bit, it will help us a lot!

straight writers: gay people can’t get happy endings in historical fiction, it’s just not realistic…
an actual gay author in 1914:
OKAY LISTEN UP THIS IS MY JAM. This book is Maurice by E.M. Forster and it was published posthumously in 1971. He wrote it in 1914 and revised it a few times over his lifetime, even showed it to a few close friends, but never tried to get it published because he believed that the views on same-sex marriage and queer love would make it impossible. It was a labor of love in its entirety, complete with its main character, Maurice, having a happy strings-free ending (which is preceded by the most epic “Bye, Felicia” speech to his ex that I have ever witnessed).
What makes this book so fucking incredible? It reads like early 20th century fanfic. Because Forster never meant to publish it, he wrote it purely for his own enjoyment, and it reads that way. I was assigned this novel in a queer lit class in college and although I struggled to read the other books, I blew through this one in 48 hours. The copy I used for school was from the library, but I went out and bought the book for myself afterwards so I could reread it. I live in Japan and I brought it with me when I moved here 4 years ago.
If you haven’t read Maurice, you absolutely must.
