Hands reached into the cabinet doors and whatnot. Thus far, Danny was unsuccessful in his search for any coffee filters and the actual coffee itself. When they were a couple, Danny never stuck around long enough to really find out if Alec was the kind of guy to buy the coffee already ground or whole beans. Danny really only cared about the sex. Truthfully, he wasn’t really in the mood to make coffee. He’d become accustomed to the sweet and nutty aromas hitting his nostrils first thing in the morning, already hot and prepared for him in his Le Creuset mug. Alec shortly joined him in the kitchen, and with a cheerful smile, Danny immediately noted the different shirt, then the slippers on his feet. He, on the other hand, wore literally nothing on his feet. Completely barefoot. Even as a kid, the blond abhorred the feeling of his feet being constricted in such tight fabric. Danny stood back to allow Alec to get inside the drawer to search for an iPhone charger, and watched him set it atop the counter just after it was located. “Oh, sweet. Thanks. Heh. Switched to android, did you? Traitor.” he joked and a humorous smile reached his lips.
He proceeded to casually search for the items needed then stopped after he felt the weight of Alec’s head resting on his back, then felt his arms clasp around his waist. Danny instantly welcomed this action by wrapping his arms over Alec’s, savoring this tender moment for however long it would be. Danny was still convinced his entire time at his ex’s house was a fluke. Truthfully, Danny was surprised by this sudden embrace, and he was damn close to questioning it but the last thing he wanted to do was ruin the moment. He longed for Alec’s touch. His eyes gently closed with a pleased smile etched across his mouth. “Yeah, I’ll grab it in a moment.” he said softly and sighed through his nostrils delightfully. Meanwhile, Besito’s crunching and smacking made the most noise in the kitchen.
Gently disrupting the hug, Danny removed his arms from around Alec’s to turn around and face the brunet, wanting to admire Alec’s lovely features―Danny’s countenance was warm as he gazed fondly at the younger male. A chuckle escaped him as a grin stretched over his mouth. There was no fighting the urge any longer and he slipped a hand over the nape of Alec’s neck, eyes fluttered closed as he moved in, lowering ever slightly to press his lips against the other male’s. Even he knew it was a pretty bold move, maybe even a little soon considering the rollercoaster that was their relationship. Danny wanted to prove to his ex that he’d changed, matured, even. This wasn’t about sex, Danny just craved his attention. His thumb caressed the skin on Alec’s neck, but he didn’t let the kiss linger, and pulled back smiling, still gazing into the others dark and lovely eyes. “I’m always feeling lazy,” he admitted, grinning, “but you deserve a good cup of coffee. I’ll make the good stuff.”
“Not my fault they’re a better deal for the price,” Alec mumbled with his face still pressed into Danny’s back. Truth be told, he was touch starved. Having people hire him for fake dates and put their hand on his back wasn’t fulfilling, and neither were the hookups that Alec had long since stopped attempting. Everything left him bored and ready to climb out of his skin, so he shut them all off. It had felt better for a little while and the longer Alec kept himself shut off, the better it felt. Except Danny had wormed his way back into Alec’s life and reminded him just how much he wanted to be held. Even just the little bit of contact they had shared was enough for Alec’s mind to scream at him that this was what he wanted. He wanted to be loved, and touched, and appreciated by somebody that cared about him. Alec wasn’t certain he had the very last part in Danny, but the man was familiar and that counted.
When Danny slid his arms over Alec’s, he sighed and slid a little bit closer. There wasn’t much room between them in the first place so there wasn’t much room to go, but Alec still moved. He needed to for reasons he didn’t understand right now. “That’s fine,” he whispered, lips curling into a slight pout as Danny moved beneath his grip. The only good thing was that Danny hadn’t gone very far - stayed touching him - which was all Alec could ask for right now. Except he was too nervous to actually verbalize that. “Sorry,” Alec muttered and tried to drop his gaze. He thought Danny might suddenly be taking this the wrong way, or otherwise not want Alec to touch him like that. Hell, Alec was a bit surprised the other man was still here. Then a hand settled on the back of his neck and Alec sighed right into the kiss. It was a shock, but even so, he melted into it with no hesitation. A slight whimper even left his parted lips on its own accord. “I don’t care about the good stuff,” his voice was breathy, even to his own ears and Alec closed the gap between them again to settled his head on Danny’s shoulder, “Just...stay here for a minute, please.”
