          𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 Governor’s Island had to offer, to spend her Labor Day soaking up some sun at The Sunset Terrace turned out to be exactly just what the doctor ordered. It was a perfectly cozy spot with just the right ambience — and who could possibly say no to a few hours of sipping wine and decadence when they had absolutely nowhere to go and nothing to worry about? At least not until they would all inevitably be forced to go back out into the real world tomorrow.

          “Have you ever done a wine tasting before?”  Aubrey wondered, swirling the gorgeous red around in her glass as she turned to the person sitting across from her.  “I feel so fancy.”  ( @villagestart )

His life wasn’t exactly boring, but kinda senseless. He watched romantic movies, going to the theater, but nothing.. Now he was writing a sad song, after watching a movie, but it felt flat to him- like the usual pop songs, he wanted something different… Suddenly, all the papers with the lyrics flew away by the wind at someone behind him…“Oh no my stupid lyrics!"he shouted, almost like he cared, but for a fact he didn’t even tried to catch them, they were bad anyway.

Always happened before a performance, even if it was just for the hell of it like this one.  “I dunno if my throat’s starting to close up or what, part of me thinks I should’ve stayed at home watching Beetlejuice instead.” Even the chuckle he lets spill from his lips feel strained, nervous. "I might need another drink in me before grabbing the guitar –– want a round? It’s on me.“

for: open @villagestart location: secondhand bookstore in manhattan, wednesday, 6:30pm

Tyler was heading into hour two of standing in this bookstore. The pile of books in the basket by his feet had grown quite a bit since he walked in. But August was winding down and he needed to get to work building the library for his classroom. It was time to recoup the loss of books from the last school year. He didn’t mind the books that wandered from his classroom throughout the year. How could you get mad at a kid for wanting to read? So bringing in new books every year was a necessary evil. Reading the back cover, Tyler’s face twisted in a bit of confusion. “Are you good or utter garbage? I can’t tell…” Tyler mumbled to himself. Turning to his right, he looked at the person next to him. “Completely subjective question, I know, but does this look good to you? Or rather, do you think high schoolers would want to read this?

tl;dr ; lots of sunshine in a smol package, was trained from childhood to eventually follow in her family’s footsteps in the chinese triad. was smuggled out of china to england with her mum and brother when she was 11. moved to minnesota for a stint in order to get a kidney transplant, then moved to new york after her high school graduation. currently lives with a couple of roommates, is a medical resident and works as a bartender on the side, in a relationship with TBD. smol sweetheart, a lil bit of a dork and nerd, will shower you with baked goods and love, and is essentially a teddy bear in human form.

Turns out, there weren’t as many football pitches in his vicinity in Manhattan as they were in the streets of London that he knew so well. The quickest solution to the problem of wanting to kick about had been found in the famous Central Park, which to him fell pale in comparison to any of the ones he had back home but it would do the job well. Dante enjoys the nice weather to practice some tricks, freestyling on his own and secretly hoping someone would join in – though he’d rather die than reveal as much. It’s after a badly calibrated kick ( damn his bad knee ) that he loses his control over the ball and it flies across the field. “Fuck.” He mutters before jogging over to it, waving at the person that’s nearer it. “Oi! Kick it this way, will ya?” He sure as fuck hoped he didn’t have to explain how to kick if they were American.
