âAlec! Right, sorry,â Wes said, feeling dumb for not getting it right. âOh, it was awesome. Had a raging party, all that jazz.â The party hadnât been as raging as heâd hoped, but it was not bad nonetheless. âHowâs your kid been? Eating any more crayons?â he asked, remembering the abrupt end to their last conversation.
âItâs fine, you only got one consonant wrong. Thatâs a lot better that some people tend to do.â Alec said, hoping his coment would make Wesley feel at ease. âSounds fun, Iâm glad you enjoyed it, dude.â He reached out and gave the other a light pat on the shoulder. âHeâs alright. Heâs not eating them anymore but heâs very keen on arts and crafts. Our walls arenât that happy if Iâm honest. Neither am I but you have to let kids do their own thing for a while, I guess.â
