Cody let out a moan as Alex nipped as his neck. He hadn’t realized how good that felt until now. Willing his brain to tell his mouth to start working again, he let out a shaky breath before the question formed on the tip of his tongue. “More to it? How?” He asked before letting out a small whine and pulling him back to his neck. “Mhhm, you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that. Wanted you.” The way Alex was pulling him in, nipping at his neck, all sense was gone for Cody and he just wanted Alex right now. Just Alex. His fingers ran up to his hair and he held on tightly as he was pushed closer to Alex, and yeah, Alex would probably be able to feel how much he wanted him judging by the bulge in his jeans. “Need. You.” He mumbled out in a daze since Alex was very intoxicating.

"Mm, just think about it," Alex said against Cody's neck, knowing that he couldn't explicitly say anything about it because Cody would absolutely tell his sister what all was going on. "You and Lily weren't supposed to be here, weren't supposed to leave your house. And now that you did, this happened," he said, nipping at the soft, pale skin again to make blood rush towards the surface. Everyone needed to know that Cody was his and nobody else's. "It's not just heat, I've wanted to do this for ages," he grinned, kissing up along Cody's jaw line. Hearing Cody say that he needed him was all too much for Alex, so after letting out a low growl Alex effortlessly picked the younger boy up and began to lead him to his bedroom, kissing him properly as he did so and relying on his hazy senses to lead him towards his bed.

Cody nodded, smiling softly because his boyfriend knew him so well. “Yes, but you love the weirdness.” He rolled his eyes at the cheeky grin on Alex’s face. “Are you kidding? I’d never get tired of you. And yeah, I’d probably be pretty easy to find because I’d never leave you. Even if you grew tired of me, I’d just live in your basement or something.” He turned to him and grinned. “You always know what to say to make me feel better.” He sighed softly, a happy smile on his face.

Cody laughed at Alex’s teasing of his sister. He had yet to meet this sister, but he was already in love with her and Ella. He’d seen them through webcam when they had a chance and she had thanked him for taking care of her brother. He’d always wanted a family and with Alex, it felt like he was finally going to get that. Alex’s question just made Tyler pace even harder and look out the window every five seconds instead of ten. “Don’t be mean, Tyler’s so anxious he can barely talk.” Cody scolded his boyfriend as he heard a car pull up and Tyler practically tripping over his own feet to get to the front door.

"Of course I love your weirdness. I love you, so I have to love every part of you - even the weird parts," Alex grinned, giving Cody a kiss. Things felt so different between them now that they were home, but in a good way. They were more free to be who they wanted and act how they wanted, which also meant they could be extremely lovey and cuddly. "I'm going to hold you to it, then, so you better be telling the truth," Alex said warningly, but the smile on his face completely gave him away.

Of course Lily would take forever to get there on the day that her boyfriend and brother were home. Of course, if she knew they were there she probably would've been there hours ago, but that was beside the point. "I know, I know. But come on, it would be kind of funny if she decided not to come to dinner the one day that she'd be getting the surprise of her life," he chuckled, but just as he was saying it there was the telltale sound of a car coming up the driveway. "Come on, let's go watch the reunion," Alex said, putting his beer down on the coffee table before standing up, holding his hand out for Cody to take. It would certainly be a show, that was for sure, but Alex really wanted a chance to see his new niece - even if he only got to look at her and maybe touch her hair while Tyler held her, if he allowed it.

Cody grinned happily, “Aw, you were gonna come looking for me?” He kissed his boyfriend back. “I’m the better finder. I should have been a seeker, but instead I chose to be a keeper. I am a keeper, right baby?” Cody winked, laughing in the other male’s arm at his lame joke. “It’s okay, I know I’m lame, but I’m still cute.” He shrugged, still grinning happily. Cody was usually a very cheerful person, but Alex always made him so much happier.

"Can’t you at least just give us one game?" He playfully shoved against Alex’s chest. "Well good because I’m feeling awfully lazy and just want to cuddle you like a kitten." He nuzzled Alex’s neck and licked it much like a cat would do. "Mine. The Slytherins always give me the evil eye. It’s not my fault I cramp their grumpy style with my all around adorableness." He took his boyfriend’s hand and led them towards the castle. "Plus I have a stash of chocolates." He grinned happily as they made it into the castle.

If anyone else had been standing there talking Alex's ear off after such a long and grueling practice, Alex would probably be pretty likely to hit them just to make them shut up - including his sister or his best friend. But because it was Cody, he was perfectly content to listen to him babble, especially because Alex found his constant state of excitement to be absolutely adorable. "Yeah, you're definitely a keeper," Alex truthfully agreed, chuckling. "And you're definitely very, very cute," he added, stopping momentarily to give Cody a kiss. Alex was feeling better from his practice already.

"Hmm, let me think about that for a moment..." Alex said, pretending to mull over his choices. "Nah. I love you, but I need to end this year with a bang," he grinned, slipping an arm around Cody's waist and pulling him close, chuckling when Cody went on to lick his neck. "No matter how many evil eyes you may get, they know not to mess with you or else they have to deal with me. Your dorm sounds fine to me, though," Alex agreed. "But I know that you're trying to fatten me up and slow me down with those chocolates," he added with a smirk.

"The… nicest-" Cody cut himself off as his heart nearly jumped out of his chest at the way Alex was sniffing. "Person-werewolf, I’ve ever had the pleasure of uh, meeting." He finished breathlessly as Alex pressed a kiss to Cody’s neck. There was no doubt the werewolf would be able to scent the arousal coming off of Cody in waves. If Cody knew what was good for him, he’d try to hide the arousal by thinking of dead kittens- or something. But no, Cody was a complete idiot who wanted the werewolf currently sniffing and kissing his neck. He wanted him bad which was what led to Cody bearing his neck in a form of submission to Alex’s wolf. The young man wasn’t a fool, he knew exactly what that meant. His best friend was a werewolf and they spent a lot of time researching werewolves. "Alex, I think I know why this full moon is bad for you. I-It’s because you’re in heat. I can, um, make it better for you?" His hand moved to the back of Alex’s neck, urging him forward gently to his bared neck.

"You're going to be the death of me," Alex said with a wicked grin. This was almost too much for him to bear, and he was loving every moment of it, especially with Cody bearing his neck for him and his scent only growing stronger as Cody grew more and more aroused. Along with kissing his neck, Alex nipped at it as well, marking the younger boy - his mate. He wanted to be able to fully claim him as his mate but knew that he couldn't until Lily was made aware of her own mate. "You're half right about that, but there's more to it than just being in heat," he breathed against Cody's neck, but he pulled away a bit when Cody offered to help him with the issue. "Are you sure you want to do that?" he asked, but with how Cody was pulling him back towards his neck, it seemed like he made his mind - and Alex's wolf certainly wasn't complaining at all as he continued the assault on his neck, wrapping an arm around Cody and pulling his body closer to his own.

"I know, I’m sorry. I’m weird, ignore me." Cody offered Alex a reassuring smile. He needed to stop worrying his boyfriend who already did plenty of worrying whilst they were deployed. He cuddled into him slightly and grinned up at him. "You’ve got me forever, babe. And I totally called dibs on you so nobody’s taking you away from me." He shook his head playfully, planting a kiss on Alex’s stubbly cheek.

There were moments where he felt such complete and utter happiness, he was almost expecting it to be taken away. He had to shake away the thought before releasing his boyfriend, but remaining close, and looking over the pictures once again. “That’s okay. I love your parents, their awesome.” He confirmed, nodding his head as he got to the end of the photo album. “Well, you already know I talk in my sleep and that I’m a total blanket hog. So maybe, just maybe, you won’t get tired of me.” He smiled, setting the photo album down and picking up the beer instead. “The food smells so good, my stomach keeps grumbling.”

"You're not weird, you're just worrying about nothing. And maybe you're a little bit weird. But just a little," Alex said with a cheeky grin. "Well that's good to hear, because you're definitely stuck with me forever. At least until you get sick of me and join an identity protection program to get away from me, but... I'd have ways of finding you. Lily is the best cyber stalker out there, she could work for the FBI if she wanted to," he teased.

"Trust me, if your sleep talking or blanket hogging made me feel like they weren't worth being with you, we wouldn't be here right now. I'm pretty sure that no curve ball you could throw me would change my mind," Alex smiled, playfully nudging Cody. "I know, dinner smells amazing compared to the shit that we had to eat. Maybe if my lovely baby sister would hurry up and get here, we could eat sooner. I bet she takes twice as long to get ready now that she has to get Ella ready as well as herself, right Tyler?" he tried to tease his best friend who was especially waiting for Lily to get there,

If anyone could put Cody’s mind at ease, it was Alex. “Thank you. I’m glad to know you guys wouldn’t let me turn into that.” Cody smiled. “I know I’m the best at cuddling. Might as well have a trophy to prove it.” He chuckled, blushing slightly as his suggestion. “Yeah? I wouldn’t mind proving it to you.” He said. All he could think about now is being wrapped in those strong arms. He was sure Alex was an expert cuddler and if they did cuddle, Cody doubted he’d be ruined for all future cuddle-ees. “Now she has an excuse to be a protective mama bear.” He had been on the receiving end of her protective mama bear before. Especially because of the jerks he dated. “Hopefully you won’t be feeling bad for long. Everything happens for a reason. You never know what kind of spark will set alight when those two get together again.” Cody assured him. “Yes. You should also be cooking me a home cooked meal and getting me flowers. You’re the worst at welcoming someone home.” He teased, shoving at the older man’s shoulder playfully. “You can cook me something and I’ll bake you something?”

"Then it's settled," Alex said haughtily, crossing his arms across his chest, "When you've settled in a bit, we'll have an evening dedicated to figuring out who's the best at cuddling. And you won't be disappointed with my cuddling abilities, but you will be disappointed when you lose," he said with a smirk. "I wonder where she gets her protective tendencies from? It obviously can't be me," Alex chuckled, knowing that at times his little sister would try to mother her best friend and that she had very much gotten it from him and all of his protectiveness. "And I'm sorry that I didn't think to make you a dinner and get some flowers or anything like that, I've been sort of busy putting together an entire bedroom and nursery for my sister and my niece, but maybe we can fit that in with out cuddling date," he suggested.

Cody frowned, “Hey! I don’t smell bad. I just showered this morning, for your information. I even used scentless body wash because I know how sensitive your guys’ wolfy noses are around this time of the month.” He called to the werewolf downstairs, with a smirk. Clearly, he was bating the other male. But Cody never knew when to stop and he surely wasn’t scared of the big bad wolf. ”There’s so many dog jokes I can make right now.” He grinned, but dropped the grin when Alex stepped closer to him. “But I won’t because I’m not a jack-ass. And you’re being so nice by helping me.” He swallowed, heart beating faster by their sudden proximity.

"Oh trust me, I know," Alex said. He knew fully well that Cody didn't reek, and in fact it was the exact opposite, and even better with the fact that Cody didn't use tons of scented products that masked his natural smell. Being near Cody during a regular full moon was bad enough, but this was so much worse - but in a great way. He could hear Cody's heart speeding up with every step that Alex took closer to him, and for a moment his conscience peeked out for a moment and told him that he should slow down and he was possibly going to take this too far, but his wolf took over before he could be persuaded to stop. With another step towards Cody, Alex was now close enough to nuzzle in to the crook of his neck and sniff, and that was just what he did. "I am, aren't I?" Alex mumbled, a low growl coming from his throat before he pressed a kiss to Cody's neck.

Cody grinned, “She sure did.” Thinking back to how nervous he was coming to Alex’s home town, seemed rather silly to Cody now. Everyone was so friendly and his parents were actually nice. He always felt like he’d have to put on an act so people would like him, but in Alex’s world… that just wasn’t the case. “No way, they’re cute. I’d show you mine, but they’re miles away.” He smiled warmly at his boyfriend. Cody snuggled into him as he put an arm around his shoulder. Alex was always so good at making him feel loved, and his cuddles were the best. Cody would tease him that the only reason he loved him was for his cuddles.

His comment made him smile softly, a warmth spreading throughout him. “You’d really want me to be around you forever?” He looked at him, his eyes probably shinning with glee. “Are you sure? I can get annoying.” It was too good to be true, he was half expecting Alex to say he was just kidding and he should go back home as soon as possible. “Aw, you still look adorable.” Cody chuckled, nudging him slightly. “And since I love you so much I won’t burden you with the woes of living with me.” He started, but paused and re-thought it when he felt the kiss on his cheek. “How about… we try it for a week and if it doesn’t work out…” He trailed off, but he knew this is what he wanted. He was just worried that maybe Alex wouldn’t want to live with him after living with him for a week and coming to the conclusion that Cody was just a neurotic spazz.

"I’ll even cook you dinner for said week." He smiled, hiding his fears and continuing to flick through the album.

Alex took a drink of his beer as Cody looked through some of the baby photos, realizing just how right all of this felt, even if there were baby pictures involved. It finally felt to him like he was experiencing the happiness that Tyler and Lily always seemed to have, the type that just radiated off of them and either made everyone else feel instantly happy as well, or a little bit disgusted by how happy they were. And it felt amazing.

"Hey, I wouldn't have offered if I didn't really want you here," Alex urged Cody. He could tell that he was a bit worried now that they were back home, and he wasn't quite sure why. There was no where else that he'd rather be than right there with Cody. "If you love me then you'll promise to stay forever and never leave," Alex said with a grin, pulling Cody a bit closer towards him. "We can try a week though, if that's what you want. I hardly think you'll have to kick dinner for the entire week though. I'm pretty sure Mom will want us all here for a few more dinners this week," Alex said with a chuckle. His mother would want them there for family dinners a few more, but he figured that Lily and Tyler might not be there for them all since they'd lost so much time together. Plus, Tyler had a daughter to bond with now. "But I'm pretty sure I'm never going to let you go anywhere."

"I hope not. If it does, I trust you’ll slap some sense into me?" Cody asked, with a playful grin. At Alex’s admission to enjoying cuddles, Cody tried to hide his excitement, as he practically beamed at the other man. Cody felt like he was going to faint and had to lean against the wall, trying to make it like he was totally cool. "So worthy. Like, too worthy. Like, no amount of money could be better- ah, worthy." How was he still standing? "I don’t know about the best though, I hold that title- thank you very much." He made to pop his invisible collar like the total dork he was, and maybe his dorkiness would take away from the blush on his cheeks. "I tried to get her a MILF shirt once, but she threatened me. Maybe for Christmas. Everyone loves Christmas presents." He grinned with much enthusiasm as yeah, that was gonna make for a great Christmas present. "Hey, don’t beat yourself up about it. Everything happens for a reason. Lily has grown from the experience and maybe back then wasn’t the right time for her and Tyler. Universe and stars aligning, that kind of thing." He assured him, seeing the blame he put on himself. He could see it in the way his facial expression changed and Cody wanted nothing more than to just smooth the line of worry that made an appearance. But of course, he refrained. "Yeah? Well you’re in luck. I’m actually in a baking mood. What are your favorites? I mean, anything I bake is pretty fabulous, but you know."

"Of course, I won't let you turn into a monster. Neither will Lils, so don't worry about that," Alex chuckled. But he wouldn't need their help, Alex was absolutely sure of it. Right now though, Alex was pretty sure that he wouldn't have been able to wipe the smirk off of his face even if he tried - Cody was doing a pretty good job of stroking his ego, plus the entire conversation in general didn't help at all. "You think you're the best at cuddling? I'm not sure about that. We might just have to find out," he grinned. Alex wasn't even entirely teasing either; he'd have no problem having a cuddling contest with Cody, that was for sure. "Yeah, you might want to be careful getting her that shirt. If you thought she was bossy and headstrong before, it's only gotten so much worse now that she's a mom," Alex chuckled, but he'd still pay to see it happen. "Yeah, that's true. But still, I can't help but feel bad, like it's my fault or something. But I can't be too bothered over it, since I have an adorable niece now," Alex grinned. He really did love that little girl, and he was happy that Lily and Ella would be living with him now so that he could spend some more time with them. He'd only been able to see Ella a couple of times since she'd been born, since Lily lived a couple of hours away. "Wait, shouldn't I be baking for you, as a welcome home gift?" Alex asked, his eyebrows raised a bit.

Cody grinned as he was met by Alex’s grumpy face. If it weren’t a full moon, he would have pinched Mr. Grumpy’s cheeks, but he valued his fingers. “Yeah, I know. I’m sorry, but I really need the lap top. I have a big paper do. It’s not due until Tuesday, but I’m weird and need to get it done tonight.” He announced, looking at him with a questioning gaze. “Yes, sir!” He said and quickly rushed into the house and ran up the stairs, only managing to trip over once. His heart was hammering in his chest as he entered Lily’s room. It wasn’t fear, not at all. It was Alex and the thought of him trying to resist his scent.

Cody searched for his lap top. Lily’s room was pretty spotless, but he couldn’t seem to find his darn lap top. “I could have sworn- Unless…” He muttered as he exited Lily’s room. “Derek, sorry, I know you’re like all hot and bothered or whatever, but can you smell my lap top? Is that a thing? I can’t find it.” He sighed, knowing the werewolf downstairs would be able to hear him.

Once Cody was bounding up the stairs, Alex regretted even opening the door. He should have pretended that he was out running the woods with Tyler and act like he wasn't even home, but he knew that Cody would know he was there. Cody knew his ways quite well by now, as annoying as it was. But now that he'd actually let the boy in to his house, everything smelled like him and it was all too overwhelming. Alex had hoped that Cody would just be in and out of the house and leave before his wolf could take over his instincts, but apparently that wasn't the case at all.

"Maybe I could if the whole damn house didn't reek of you," Alex muttered, but 'reek' was far from the proper word. It was an intoxicating smell, and it made him want to nuzzle in the crook of Cody's neck - and pound in to him until he was begging for mercy. The mere thought of it almost enough to set Alex over the edge completely, and before he could tell himself not to he was heading up the stairs to where Cody was. "Maybe, but I have to smell you first to catch your scent. Like a dog," he said, stepping closer to Cody.

Cody figured he would have learned his lesson about pestering his best friend’s werewolf brother, especially on a full moon. Of course not though because he was Cody. “I know, I know. I’m supposed to stay away from your house on full moons, but I left my lap top in Lily’s room and I really need it for school stuff.” He practically begged as he continued to knock on the door. The thing was, Cody had been around Alex on a full moon and it wasn’t that bad. He just got moody, which whatever. But Alex had banned them both from coming to the house tonight, more so than usual. What Cody didn’t know was that this full moon was much stronger than all the others. The reason being, it was a mating moon. His scent was that much more intensified.

Alex was already attracted to Cody’s scent, it was obvious by the way he always tended to sniff the air when Cody was near. Cody didn’t think much of it because he refused to believe he could actually be attractive in anyway. Except for that one time that Alex backed him into a corner and rubbed, licked, kissed, and sucked Cody’s neck. Granted, Cody was drunk and some dude had just rubbed up all over him while dancing. His drunk self thought it odd, his hung over self thought the next morning that perhaps it had been because he had someone else’s scent on him. Nah, because they never talked about it again.

"Alex, please. I’ll be in and out in like a minute!" He called to the stubborn wolf inside. Maybe he should have brought Lily with him, but Alex made it clear not to let her leave the house. Something about Tyler going on a run and a bunch of werewolfy nonsense. "I’m not leaving until you let me in, you know that right?" He said, not bothering to yell as he knew the werewolfiness gave you cool super human hearing.

Alex knew that Cody was there at the house long before he knocked. All of his senses were heightened during any normal full moon, but this one in particular left him very attuned to anything that seemed to involve the younger one. It was a mating moon, which meant it was so much harder to be around Cody than it already was on a day to day basis. The truth was, Cody was his mate - but Alex kept that hidden as much as he could, which admittedly wasn't that well. His best friend Tyler knew, because he was also a werewolf, but Alex also had a hunch that his little sister knew as well - the sister that Cody was supposed to be making sure was alright and stayed inside because Alex didn't trust Tyler much tonight, not with the mating moon having such an effect on them all.

Even from up in his bedroom, Alex could smell the overpowering scent of Cody, and as much as he wanted to ignore him and not let him come in, or maybe just chuck the laptop out the window to get him to leave, it wasn't nearly that easy. In fact, it was downright impossible, and the scent of Cody drew him downstairs and to the door, despite his attempts not to. Opening the door, Alex mustered the grumpiest face that he could - which wasn't all that difficult at all.

"I told you not to come around," he frowned, letting the door open just a crack, but only left it like that momentarily before opening it the rest of the way. "Go and get it, but hurry up," he said, stepping to the side and resisting the urge to shut the door and shove Cody up against it.

Ever since Cody had met Alex, he had finally felt like he was found. No longer lost. The younger male was forced to join the army, if he wasn’t going into medicine, he had to be a part of what his dad did. He was expected to be this perfect military guy so that his dad would finally be proud. That was never going to happen, so he went to school. After his fourth year of medical school his father had informed him that he had enlisted him. Not only that, he’d be going with his dad. Technically, he had no training but as his dad had put it, “You’re just going to pick up body parts.” It had horrified Cody, but this is how the man always was. Stoic and uncaring.

Two months passed with no more than Cody treating the occasional cold, cough, and flu like symptoms. On one night, scouts were sent out to go on a run. A few came back wounded, having been ambushed. There was only one doctor, two medics, and a nurse. The camp was a large one and the group ambush soon turned into multiple groups being ambushed. Cody was exhausted by the time he reached the older male, the one he now loved. And perhaps it was corny to say it was love at first sight, but that’s how it had felt. Cody would not leave the other man’s side, just the thought of leaving him caused him great anxiety.

Turns out that love at first sight was probably not far from the truth as he looked up and smiled. The object of his affection was making his way back to him. He grabbed the beer and thanked him, his heart doing the crazy flips it did when Alex was near as the other man kissed his cheek. “Just the usual, but she did leave me with that.” Cody nodded at the photo album sitting on the coffee table in front of him. “Baby pictures are priceless.” He grinned, leaning forward to place the beer on the table and take the photo album in his hands in case Alex tried taking it before he got to look at it. “You know I can’t be far from you for long. I wouldn’t be able to sleep… or function, really.” He kissed his boyfriend on his stubbly cheek he had grown to love so much before opening the album. “Oh jeez! Look at how cute you were! I mean, you’re still cute… but look at little you. Is that- are you wearing a dress?” He laughed affectionately.

"Oh god, she gave you the photo album?" Alex groaned, and he would've made a reach for the book to take it and hide it, maybe burn it along the way, but he figured that it couldn't hurt too much if Cody saw. Sure, he'd make fun of him for some of the things that were surely in there, but he loved Cody so it didn't really matter in the end. "Baby pictures are horrible and embarrassing," Alex said, wondering just why his mom hated him so much to embarrass him like that.

"Good, because I definitely don't want you to be far from me. Not for too long, at least," Alex grinned, putting an arm around his boyfriend's shoulder. He had offered to let Cody stay with him at his apartment for as long as he wanted, and hopefully that would be forever. But just to make sure, Alex thought that maybe it would be best to ask or offer it. "I said you could stay as long as you wanted, but if you wanted to stay forever then I'd be absolute happy with that," he said, hopeful that his boyfriend would accept the offer. "Hey, it's not a dress, it's a Christening outfit!" Alex scoffed, looking quite hurt by the accusation. "If I didn't love you so much I'd definitely be revoking my invitation to stay with me," he said, but gave Cody a kiss on the cheek nonetheless.

"It feels pretty amazing. Helping has always been my thing. Putting people at ease or making them comfortable when they feel icky, is just an added benefit." Cody admitted with a sincere smile. Many of the patients at the clinic he interned at loved him. A lot of the patients got to asking for him specifically. "I just hope that thing they say that happens to everyone in the medical field, doesn’t happen to me." He added, but then realized Alex probably wouldn’t know because he wasn’t in the medical field. "They say that after a while, you harden and become less caring and more about getting the person healthy, in, and out. I have to make them smile or feel comfortable, you know." He added quickly, actually scared that it would happen to him. Anyone that knew Cody would know that was impossible and that he was being ridiculous. "True. I mean, I’m definitely a cuddler. Like, I’m famous for it- wow, that makes me sound like a slu- man of the night? I have no idea, but what I meant is that I enjoy a good cuddle, but I’m not gonna go cuddling every cuddly person. Besides, some people don’t look very cuddle worthy. Or they look like they don’t like it." And he was rambling again. "Dude, I’m not an idiot. I call Lily a MILF on the daily. Except I wouldn’t actually do the thing, because she’s like a sister to me and I tried the whole girls thing and it didn’t work out too good for me." He admitted, not at all ashamed. So he had never officially come out, but he knew that Alex must know because Cody would blab to Lily about one of his boyfriends in college. Which was a serial cheater, but we’ll get to that douche bag later. "That’s gonna be priceless. Tyler’s been in love with her forever. If he was an anime character, his eyes would be heart shaped. And Lily so wants a piece of that- I mean… you probably miss my cookies don’t you?" He changed the subject quickly because his mouth was never in tune with his brain. Alex was a sucker for his cookies, so hopefully that would distract him.

"Oh please, you know that's not going to happen to you," Alex reassured Cody, rolling his eyes a bit. The idea of Cody hardening and not wanting to care for someone properly was absolutely preposterous, and if that happened then Alex would know for sure that hell had frozen over and the apocalypse was just seconds away. "Hey, everyone loves cuddling. I'm a big stoic man, and i don't look like I'd like cuddling, do I? But I totally do," he admitted with a shrug. "Would I be worthy of cuddles?" Alex asked with a smirk, clearly teasing Cody like he always had. Lily told him about some of Cody's boyfriends in college, and Alex wasn't entirely surprised because he knew that the boy had such a bit heart that he could probably love just about anyone, regardless of their gender. "Nah, I know what you mean. As much as I don't want to think of my sister as a MILF, I think you telling her that she is will help," he said with a nod before his face turned to a grimace. "Okay, ew, I don't need to think about my best friend and my sister like that. But you're right. I mean, if I'd been a bit supportive of it before then maybe she wouldn't be in this situation. Or at least with Tyler, she'd be taken care of," Alex sighed, blaming himself a bit for the situation that Lily had gotten herself in to. He was always a bit too overprotective of her, and maybe that had backfired. "You know, cookies might be good. They'd help get the mental image out of my mind, at least."

It had been nine months since Alex had been home, and although the months went by horribly slowly for his best friend, for Alex they seemed to fly by like they were nothing at all. Of course he missed his family terribly, and wished that he could've been around for his sister while she was pregnant, but it wasn't the case. Alex and his best friend Tyler had both enlisted for the army when they graduated high school, but it never progressed any further than basic training, and they weren't deployed until they were twenty-six. They had enjoyed their time at home, Tyler especially as he began dating Alex's younger sister Lily, and neither were ready to go when the time came.

It was about two months in to their stay that Alex was shot in the shoulder by a stray bullet. He wound up being okay, but needed some pretty extensive care by the medics there, and one seemed to take quite a bit more care than all of the others, even staying long past his shift sometimes to just sit by Alex's side and talk. It wasn't until this young medic, the same age as his sister, began hanging around that the realization that he might, possibly be bisexual, and it wasn't too much longer before that might turned in to an absolutely, and the two became even closer, even going as far as becoming romantically involved, even tough they had no idea what would happen in the future. It turned out, though, that months later a large amount of the troops were being sent home, including Alex, Tyler, and Cody. Desperate not to let their distance separate them, Alex invited Cody over to meet his family, and consequently surprise his sister with her boyfriend and brother coming home.

"Has my mom bombarded you with tons of questions yet?" Alex asked with a chuckle as he entered his parent living room with two beers, handing one to Cody. His family had taken the fact that Alex had a boyfriend quite well, and were perfectly welcoming to him - but they were still parents and loved to ask all sorts of invasive questions. Sitting down on the couch next to his boyfriend, Alex placed a kiss to his cheek. "I'm happy that you came home with me," he said, not knowing really how long he'd be staying before heading home to his dad, but any amount of time was better than none.
