The two party system in the US really gets on everyone’s nerves but nobody wants to blink first and create an actual centrist party because that sort of thing would only work if everyone got on board but nobody wants to get on board because it might not work so for now we have the party of the fascists and normal-ish conservatives locked in the same room as the fascists and a party of basically everyone else.
