“We all know I’m the pretty florist.” Lucy chimed, butting into the conversation with a sly grin as she set down a vase of flowers in front of Alexandria. “And even if you won’t admit it, I know it’s your birthday. So happy birthday, you miserable dog.” Luce chuckled playfully, the girls hostile nature rolling off of her.
“No need to try on cockiness, Lucy, it’s unbecoming on you. On me, however,” she trails off with implied ending to her comment, twirling the vase around by its base with slender fingers. “As I appreciate the token of your affections, of many I typically receive, I don’t do birthdays. At least not my own, I never have.”
