Do you think the Static Shock episode "Jimmy" might've been stronger if the bullies had been more realistic? I mean, Nick looks and acts like a 50s greaser and their actions towards Jimmy (giving him a wedgie, mimicking him and stuffing him in a locker) felt more like needling than bullying to me.
Who cares if the bullies weren't realistic? Even if they were, it would only be accurate to how bullies were at the time. Bullying in 2002 is not the same as bullying in 2021, but that doesn't matter because bullying is bad regardless of what form it takes, and children are smart enough to know when a character is being picked on for no reason and recognize that as a bad thing.
Arguing semantics over whether or not what happened to Jimmy constitutes bullying misses the entire point of the episode, because the fact remains that he didn't like it and his tormentors continued to do it anyway. Regardless of whether you consider that needling, bullying, or whatever else, it doesn't change the fact that it's wrong.

OMG THIS IS SO COOL! Ethan Embry to play Justice Society of America’s original Johnny Thunder on The CW’s #DCStargirl! https://stargirl.tv/ethan-embry-to-play-original-johnny-thunder
I know it was a brief moment, but remember when Hawks showed that he disagreed with Stain’s ideology? (as everyone should btw)
With the information on Hawk’s character that we have now it makes even more sense.
Because Stain’s ideology goes against everything Hawk’s stands for.
Which is the human ability to change and grow at any point in your life.
As many have already pointed out (including the series) Stain’s ideology is incredibly flawed on a fundamental level. Because it requires the idea and only idea, that people never change or are uncapable of change and remain stagnate.
Which is inherently untrue. Even on a small scale.
Think about who you were when you were 10, 13, 20. What you use to believe in, what you believe now, how you use to act, how you act now, what type of friends you keep.
It’s all part of growing because that’s just how humans work. Whether for bad or good depends on the situation.
On a hero scale we see this first with Mt Lady
Mt Lady started off as someone who only became a hero too seek fame. But as the series progresses we see her go through events that make her realize what it really means to be a hero and make her willing to put her own life on the line for others.
With Stain’s beliefs she should have died before she could even come to this point.
That’s how power change can be for some people.
To the point where some people are vastly different from who they use to be.
Because it’s easier to think someone is one thing, rather then accept that if they are willing, they can change for the better.

Barbara Gordon Stephanie Brown in Smallville: Season 11
Sometimes I wish they'd kept Stephanie Brown as Nightwing instead of replacing her with Barbara Gordon, since Bryan Q. Miller wrote her in Batgirl Vol 3, where Stephanie dreamt that She was not only Nightwing, but she also had a Blue Lantern ring while Barbara was a Green Lantern. And who knows, if Stephanie became a Blue Lantern and traveled into space, Tim Drake could've been her replacement instead of Dick Grayson.
