My son, the tin man.
Yesterday my son turned eighteen years old. He's my son. He's my friend. I couldn't be more proud Or more humble To say both. (You still live here. Clean your room and do your homework.)
So the Cubs lost last night. What I like to do with this blog is be as positive as possible. The boys did score a few, but there were few bright spots. So instead of bringing up anything negative, here's a picture of my son. He attended his final piano recital last weekend. He's heading off to college in the fall. There are a lot of "lasts" this spring, but there are plenty of "firsts" coming. I'm so proud of him! Afternoon game in Cincinnati today! Lets wrap this in style!
A short video of the marching band is up on periscope. Not the best quality. Sorry.
The Phantom with a Color Guard captain, after a great performance!
The Marching Band was excellent tonight. They won first in their class. No doubt, the Phantom's presence made the difference!
My son, the phantom.
My son after his sixth and final performance as Cyrano in "Cyrano de Burger Shack". His performance was amazing. I saw three of the six and loved each one.
PBL High School Show Choir Spectacular 2015
My son is amazing
Buster Keaton (October 4, 1895 – February 1, 1966), “The Great Stone Face”
A man famous for directing and acting in silent films, his deadpan expression, physical comedy, and, featured above, his stunt performance. This man did all his own stunts, and they are amazing.
Objectively the greatest physical comedian to ever live.

My son plays saxaphone on this recording. I just love it. Enjoy.
(I know. I’m soooo boring.)
Neil Hefti was a great songwriter. He wrote this one for Count Basis. My son is part of the high school jazz band. If you listen close, you can hear him on piano.
Dimm View of Chicago The magic is ready to begin! Thirty minutes to showtime!
Dimm View of Chicago My wife and I are at the Field Museum in Chicago today. She has a puppet show at 11:30 today. "Little Red ". Pretty exciting!!
