An image can say so much but there is more between the lines. I look composed but a time bomb was brewing. I've taken on so much in the past couple months and the stress had been building up, with going to school full time, having a physically demanding summer job that pays less than ideally and moving to a new area all have affected me and culminated on what I believe was my first anxiety attack ever. I've been so busy worrying about the "what if" that I neglected my well being and failed to see the warnings my body has been giving me(abnormal exhaustion). It was not a pleasurable experience to say the least. The last two days have taught me that I need to take better care of myself. When I can't muster energy to do one of the things I possibly love the most; there is something that needs to change. Here is me struggling on Bong-a-long 5.9 BCC this past Friday before things got unreal 😝😝😵. #climbing #rockclimbing #utahclimbing #utahisrad #sportclimbing #iwishitwastoprope #leadclimbing #utah #holyhellthatdaysucked 📷: @graden.swett (at Big Cottonwood Canyon)
Crown shyness
What an interesting word. :D
“Crown shyness is a phenomenon observed in some tree species, in which the crowns of fully stocked trees do not touch each other, forming a canopy with channel-like gaps.“
How do the trees know not to touch each other?
Nobody knows though it’s been studied since the 1920′s.
Coolest shit

Wow this is so interesting
I think gifs like these are insanely helpful, I love them
They are really educational.
The challenges that climbing brings are always exciting and sometimes terrifying. Through perseverance we can achieve any goals we set. I managed to do my longest on sight yesterday, somewhere around 90 feet in one pitch. I'm proud of that when about every route I've been doing lately is around 35-45 feet. I figured a selfie would be nice to bask in the joy #climbing brings. ❤️#maplecanyon #rockclimbing (at Maple Canyon)

Sounds good to me!

“When I was pregnant, patients often asked me if it was hard/weird to do their abortion.
My response was simple, ‘Not at all. It is not the right time for you, but it is for me. Later on, if you decide to become a parent, I will be by your side then too.’”
