I was watching Swedish CN with a friend this morning and we saw that Hit the Diamond has been shown on Swedish Cartoon Network yesterday. We were pretty upset when we noticed that they had censored some parts. In the clip above we show which parts have been censored and the translation from Swedish to English. This is not okay and we are REALLY upset. Sweden is supposed to be a welcoming country for LGBT+ people, but apparently some people at Swedish Cartoon Network seem to think that doesn’t extend to children’s media. This is unacceptable. Erasing Ruby and Sapphire’s flirting is an act of censorship even if they haven’t cut any video. We are planning on creating a petition to make sure Cartoon Network does not do this again. We cannot accept this kind of censorship. If the french fandom could change french Cartoon Network’s minds, we can too!
