The question here is - are these ads here to influence the disbelievers (via mockery) or to preach to a choir who're willing and able to sway others in their own way?

The creative sits in a strange middle ground that doesn't entirely smash it for either purpose. Does that then make it suitably safe or an ineffective let-down?

It really is up to the audience to decide.
