it’s a shame more vampire media doesn’t pull from vampire bat behavior because they’re such sweeties. they can only survive their incredibly specialized diet because bats will share blood with colony members that didn’t find a meal! there’s evidence that suggests the donors sometimes initiate this behavior themselves by approaching hungry bats! the colonies are mostly harems of females with a few males but they’ve been observed letting unrelated males in when it gets cold so they can all stay warm! cute little social critters!

To take this to its logical extreme:

Hatsune - birth name she doesn’t go by who no one except her abusive biological father refers to her with. Deadname

Uika - name she stole from her sister that she publicly goes by even though it isn’t actually hers. Deadname

Doloris - name of the character she plays in Ave Mujica that Saki-chan wrote for her, not a name for her herself. Not hers to use outside of Ave Mujica’s world

Misumi - surname from her late stepfather belonging to the family she ran away from after her sister told her she wasn’t really her father’s daughter. Cut ties from the family this name belongs to. Deadname(?)

Togawa - surname from her abusive controlling biological father’s family that very explicitly does not legally recognize her as a part of. Also the surname of the girl she’s madly in love with. Was never hers to use (unless Saki-chan marries her)

So we should be calling her M(r)s. Hatsune “Uika” “Doloris” Misumi-Togawa who is otherwise known as “the blonde one,” “Saki’s puppy,” “the singing doll,” or “that girl from Sumimi that’s not Mana-chan.”
