The mile-long rainbow flag being carried down First Avenue in New York City.
“For New York City Pride in 1994 (Stonewall 25), Baker created a mile-long rainbow flag that was carried down First Avenue in Manhattan. During the parade, Baker used scissors to cut segments from the flag to be rushed to Fifth Avenue for an impromptu protest march in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the headquarters of New York City’s anti-gay Catholic archdiocese.

the genocide in Gaza is still ongoing. Israel has directly killed over 900 Palestinan people in Gaza since the ceasefire was declared, and is still only letting 150-200 trucks of aid through per day out of the 550-600 that UNWRA says is necessary to meet their basic needs. in other words, Israel is still killing Palestinians with guns and bombs, and by denying them adequate food, clean water, medicine, and sanitation. at the same time, Israel has only met around 30 percent of its obligations for the first phase of the ceasefire, and is trying to increase the amount of Gaza it securely holds from 60 to 70 percent, while insisting that the resistance disarms before moving onto the next phase of the peace plan. the "ceasefire" is just another phase in the genocide

people on twitter are being a touch weird about marjane satrapi, acting like she somehow had a hand in us foreign policy lmao

no one has ever done it like them
Hello, Emily. This is Adam Driver. I came across your blog in my free time today and it pained me greatly to find a post you made recently calling me ugly and, I quote, “garbage”. I began to cry, because I have anxiety about my appearance. You have truly hurt an innocent 30 or 40 year old man who wants nothing more than to act and be happy. I hope you consider your actions in the future, as I am still crying because of you. Thank you, and goodbye.
