The thing with venom is that if it had been critically well received I feel like it would not have been nearly as charming.

The pure chaos and weird tone and haphazard story beats of the first movie just fit venom as a character and like critics don't seem to get that this isn't the fucking avengers and this character did not have to be Tony Stark to be compelling and yes sometimes you just wanna see a guy dunk himself in a lobster tank at a fancy restaurant.

There are plenty of us sloppy cunts that could relate to Eddie Brock human disaster and his feral slightly evil but mostly just fun loving parasite.

Venom was like sloppy drunk tequila friend representation and a 30 percent rotten tomatoes score felt like it couldn't really be any other way.

Like if venom was rated over 50 percent, it just would not be as good, paradoxically.

I just love Tom Hardy. The man really saw what we loved about Venom and went ahead and not only embraced it, but he even co-wrote the story for the second movie. The man really has our backs? Like that’s such an unusual thing to happen. He really took the story in the direction he knew would make the fans happy and I love him for that. This is really so special and I appreciate it so damn much. This kind of thing just doesn’t happen, especially when what the fans want is queer. This man went ahead and gave us a romcom complete with coming out scene for Venom and a Symbrock happy ending watching the sunset together. Do you know how fucking insane that is?? To have an actor’s support like this?? Do you know how lucky we are to have Tom Hardy?? I love this man because he cares about the people who are consuming his product. He’s there for us. He really went the extra mile for us little Symbrock fans. This movie was as queer as it could possibly be as a mass-market movie. So yes, Tom Hardy is now one of my favorite people. Thank you Tom, and thank you Andy Serkis and Kelly Marcel for supporting this as well.

Listen tumblr, I need you all to know that no matter how gay the venom 2 trailers were they do not even come remotely close to how gay the movie really is. There were so many moments where I was completely losing my shit over just how in love Eddie and Venom are. The gays and the monsterfuckers really won this time around and I’m not kidding in the slightest.

venom 2 was one of the best movies i have ever seen in my life ever. yes i will elaborate. venom and eddie are BOYFRIENDS and they have the most fucked up relationship in the WORLD and everyone just runs with it. eddie hits venom in the teeth and there is the most cartoonish glass shattering sound effect i have ever heard. the PETTINESS venom exudes the entire movie. "I am coming out of the Eddie closet" fucking TERRIFIC you gay hentai tentacle alien. no one in this movie is taking anything seriously and you can see it because the performances are so fucking WHACK. andy serkis is directing. what the fuck. amazing. i am not a monster fucker but in spirit i saw venoms thighs and forgot where i was for 10 seconds. my mother was right next to me how can i explain THAT to her that i suddenly understood The Feeling. cletus kasady straight up bites a guy because venom went into boyfriend mode. the doctor lobster dan is just there. token boyfriend.

what a fucking fantastic movie. this is what films were made for. no i will not take criticism because you cannot give me any. i saw god in that cinema theatre when that sentient squid ink told his bf that he loves him. venom has domesticated CHICKENS. thank you mr venom hardy i want to kiss you on the MOUTH

Listen. Am I scared that putting Venom in the MCU could water down the character and his relationship with Eddie? Yes. Do I wake up in cold sweat occasionally, thinking about Venom becoming Disney's 57th First Openly Gay Character? Absolutely.

But one thing gives me hope and it's the fact that they would need to put a shock collar on Tom Hardy to make him play Eddie Brock as straight for even a single second. Joke's on them, he's probably into that shit.
