Star wars

I had a thought the other day in regards to the storm troopers in the original movies. They are known for having horrible aim. The clones however were able to take out almost all of the Jedi, and the new troopers are trained by the first order. A theory is that Darth deliberately screwed up their training as he was having an internal struggle. This accounts for why the empire was having so much trouble with the rebels. Just a thought not sure if actually true.
