So…. Just let everyone in? Who’s taking care of them?

We have somewhere between 500,000 and 1,000,000 homeless citizens in the US that we can’t seem to take care of but we should let more in?

At some point we need to look at resources and see if we can really take care of them.

Europe started letting everyone in a couple years ago and now they’re regretting it across the board.

We’re much bigger than other developed countries, so we could conceivably take in more refugees without it impacting our culture. As for the population of people experiencing homelessness, I also believe in offering support to help people get back on their feet. Job coaching, counseling, dry cleaning services, business attire donations, drug rehab, etc. I’ve worked with people experiencing poverty on four separate occasions (three in country and one out of country, in Central America, because I’m a white Christian asshole and I wasn’t aware of the possible cultural impact). Basically, what I’m saying is, in an ideal world where we gave a shit about each other, open borders would be amazing. I understand that borders need to be a thing, but the wall is crazy. That money could be helping to end homelessness.

I’m not exactly for a wall but I am against illegal immigration.

Let’s fix our problems with a homeless, native reservations, inner city ghettos, Appalachia, etc before we bring in more people to take care of.

If you’re struggling to take care of your kids, it’s irresponsible to adopt or have more when you can’t take care of the ones you already have.
