So wild how so many shows on TV has like.... campus police, or a small-town sheriff who runs a tight ship, or cheerleaders and stuff
And how so many of them share the same vocabulary, like "Freshmen" and "Sorority" and "FBI"
Do you think they all take place in the same universe
how it feels to listen to float on by modest mouse
Happy pride! Census time
Is your pet queer?
My pet is gay
My pet is trans
My pet is gay & trans
My pet is aro and/or ace
My pet uses microlabels
My pet is cisgender and heterosexual
My pet has something else going on
No pet/other nuanced take/my pet won't tell me/I'm homophobic
Pick whichever identity your pet most strongly identifies with if there's multiple.
I don't know how to vote.
My dog is only aroused by my smart watch.
It is funny how French is one of the most commonly spoken languages in the world yet both the French and Quebecois language wonks have the paranoia of speaking a dying regional dialect deep in the hinterlands.
I think trans people should be free of the fucking medical establishment. I think once you decide to transition, you should have a hormone prescription that auto-renews for life. I think that you should only have to see doctors if you're having problems.
trans women and trans men and nonbinary people and everyone else being friends and holding each other close and falling in love and thinking of each other. I'm making this my future. let's all be okay together
your future came true! My girlfriend's trans, and I'm nonbinary, and we fell in love, and i think about her 24/7
HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!!
I highly recommend developing a tolerance for polite low level conflict, not just because it will serve you well when employers or whoever try to impose bullshit on you with the expectation you'll fold rather than expend energy arguing, but because it will make you a genuine asset to your friends and allies whenever they're in positions where they're less able to fight for themselves.
the first and most important step is learning to stay calm when someone with authority tries to pressure you. take a breath, think about what you actually believe, and respond in your own time. if they try to brush past or talk over you, you can say "excuse me, can I think about that for a moment. I'd like to give you a proper answer." self esteem. you're both just upright monkeys.
I need to stop replying to “how do you make friends in your 30s?” threads because all my answers boil down to “you have to want to know people instead of have friends” and I don’t think people wanna hear that
It’s like. People can tell if you don’t really like or connect with them. If you aren’t truly enamored with someone you will have a hard time coming up with activities to do together to deepen the friendship. Because you don’t really like that person that much.
What's annoying me is people acting like transmascs talking about issues that affect them is taking away the attention from trans women. If anything we should probably get all of the issues we face and say "see? Society as a whole is transphobic". No one is arguing that transmascs have it worse than transfems. That's the same thing that happened back in the ace discourse where gay people claimed aces wanted to "take away attention from homophobia" and argue they "have it worse" when that was pretty much no the case.
I find it really interesting how the trans community treats intersex history as trans history, uses intersex people as a gotcha against transphobes, take intersex terms and apply them to the trans experience, and constantly imply that intersex is a subcategory of trans only to freak out when an intersex person identifies as an "afab transfem" or "amab transmasc"
Like idk y'all spend so much time framing intersexuality as inherently trans that I find it weird how unacceptable it apparently is to actually be intersex and trans
I found a 12 year old article about how biphobes are always changing the definition of bisexuality to make it seem as unrealistic, unappealing and limiting as possible:
“People are quick to tinker with the definition of bisexual until it’s not something anyone would willingly pick for themselves. Bisexuals are supposed to be equally attracted to men and women – always androgyny, but never to trans people – and always at the same time. They supposedly need to have identical amounts of sex with both, and don’t notice the differences between them. We’re all told bisexuality is a phase that everyone goes through and grows out of, and no one’s a “proper” bisexual, even though “everyone’s bisexual really”. Bisexuals are depicted as the monsters spreading Aids, and breaking the hearts of partners inevitably cast aside for a different gender. Who’d want to be bi!“ - Marcus Morgan: Bisexuals: putting the B back in LGBT (The Guardian)
Literally nothing has changed except we’ve added even more limiting definitions of bisexuality. One of the reasons why bisexual activism is so frustrating is because people refuse to listen to how bisexuals describe bisexuality so we’re stuck debating definitions instead of talking about the problems our community faces.
so embarrassing when I like a mainstream song. i thought I was more fucked up than this
In 2026, the chicest thing a gay actor can do is never explicitly come out as gay but also make it abundantly clear that he is. Coming out is too modern. Staying closeted is too old fashioned. But this method merges contemporary freedom with Old Hollywood glamour and allure, and it weeds out the dumbest people who truly don’t get it. I call it the Pascal Method.
Taylor Swift does this
no she doesn’t
You clearly don't go here or to queer history and signaling, or both, enough to have this conversation and I'm not going to explain it to you. You could have asked questions, you could have done even a modicum of research. You didn't and you made yourself look ignorant. Goodbye.

This sick bleach shirt I made. Something to showcase my undying love for prehistoric cave art.
Some of the bleach burned thru the shirt bc this was my first time bleaching anything ever, but it kinda adds to it.
