Emilia's first gala! To say she's stressed and terrified might be an understatement. She's never done anything like this before and is kinda worried. Nervous about fitting in, nervous about things going wrong. She is, however, very excited about getting dressed up and acting all fancy with her friends and the team. She's never had champagne before, but she totally will tonight.

About ten minutes before they're about to leave, Emilia comes out in her dress with her makeup almost entirely done. She's rummaging through drawers and purses "have you seen my eyebrows?" She means eyebrow gel, too stressed to think of the real word right now, hoping the person she’s leaving with understands what she means

"But you have your eyebrows still upon your face, Emilia?" Thor replies, completely confused. He is wearing Asgardian formal wear: a bright blue tunic with pale gold accents, a giant bear skin across his shoulders, a hefty belt with a rune on the buckle, black slacks, boots held on his feet with rope around his shins, leather bracers, and extremely near and plentiful braids throughout his golden hair.

"And you seem to be fretting about the Gala. I do not understand why."

She tutts “not my eyebrows, the stuff I put on my eyebrows” she still can’t think of the word right now “ooo you look nice!” She gets distracted for a moment before she continues rushing around trying to find her gel “and yes, I am ‘fretting’… I’ve never been to a proper one before and I’m fucking terrified” she mumbles that last bit, hoping he didn’t hear her swear

"But you don't need to fret. Galas are simply a fun way to dress up and meet people in a formal setting." Thor smiles. Thor has only ever been to one Midgardian gala, and he was kicked out in the beginning stages for 'being a disruption'. Thor then pauses thoughtfully. "Must you put things on your eyebrows? I do not understand why you need it. You look beautiful already, young Emilia."

She smiles softly “thank you Thor, but it’s just to make sure everything stays in place” she finally finds the small tube and puts the gel on her eyebrows, looking in the mirror. She sighs, calming herself, slinging her purse over her shoulder “ok! I think I’m ready… it’s just dressing up and talking to people, nothing to stress about” she tries to reassure herself

"Indeed. And I will be with you. Now come along, before friend Rogers is angered by our tardiness." Thor teases, offering her his large and calloused hand so they can leave together. The gala isn't far, thankfully, but Thor figures that Emilia will feel better if he is with her.

Emilia giggles softly, taking his hand and playfully swinging it as they walk out “where even is this gala?” She was honestly more focussed on getting dressed up and freaking out to work out the details

"Friend Stark says he threw this Gala at a nearby 'expo center'. I haven't a clue what that means. But he declared we would be riding within an elongated carriage to get there." Thor leads Emilia to the elevator.

“A limo?” She corrects with a small smile “as long as someone knows where we’re going then I think I’m good” she giggles. She holds her excess dress fabric in her hands as she steps out of the elevator with Thor

Thor and Emilia get to the limo. He looks confused, as the limo is very low to the ground. He turns to the chauffeur. "This elongated carriage, are you certain I will be comfortable inside? It looks rather small."

Emilia gets in the limo as the driver reassures Thor “there’s more space inside, plus it’s a short drive anyway” Emilia cuts him off “Thor! Get in!” She calls out excitedly, unsure of the issue

Thor ducks down to look around in the limo. "Is there a 'weight limit'? Stark to me I need to ask now after the original incident. I broke a vehicle he liked." Thor asks, looking around in the spacious Limo. He says the words "weight limit" like they're foreign and he doesn't understand what they truly entail.
