I love media where the underlying message is to be kind , even if it isn’t the main plot.
I love media where the underlying message is that you are not the worst mistake you made and you are not the worst thing that happened to you
I love media where the underlying message is that people can change for the better
I love media that’s like love, actually is all around us
I love media that’s like “we can’t save anyone.” “we can always try.”
I love media
that’s like love, actually
is all around us

Detective Comics #1100 - "Lost & Found" (2025)
written by Tom Taylor art by Mikel Janin
“My limbs now tremble and my eyes swim with the remembrance; but then a resistless, and almost frantic, impulse urged me forward; I seemed to have lost all soul or sensation but for this one pursuit.”
Victor's small moment of joy, before he realises what he's done

"I knew chappell roan before she blew up", "i knew sabrina carpenter before she blew up", well guess who I knew before he blew up
plain text:
you need to be slow maxxing. you need to be reading long, fat books. you need to be making 48 chocolate chip cookies. you need to spend hours watching wild life. you need to spend 15 minutes making coffee. you need to breathe in and out. you need to be slowwwwwww
Hey, man, c'mere. Listen. Get in real close, this is important.
You're gonna make stuff again. You're gonna make stuff you're proud of. You're gonna make stuff you're excited to share. You're going to feel that overwhelming drive to create, not just the frantic I want to want to you're stuck in now. You're going to have awesome ideas, and you're going to make them into reality. You're going to create again. You're still an artist. You're still a writer. You're still home to the same passion you had before. You'll find it again. It's not gone. It's just resting. Let it rest. You're going to make stuff again. I promise.
Steph is peeking at Tim's cards btw
Bring this shit back, idgaf
Jane Eyre but the mad-wife-locked-in-the-attic is a vampire. you agree
it's left ambiguous whether:
Bertha was locked up for being a vampire
her vampirism was mistaken for female hysteria (she canonically bit people/tried to claw their hearts out. that's....suggestive)
she was locked in the attic and then contracted vampirism (bitten by a bat.)
whichever way: she's a vampire, she's dark and dangerous and beckoning like a siren's song from the rafters. she's got a failhusband and a repressed victorian governess dreaming of her daunting laughter. the Gothic Yuri potential is off the charts do u HEAR me???
in the climax, she escapes and Rochester is so panicked he sets the house on fire (fire being anathema to vampires). but then Jane (previously implied to have refused vampiric powers for religious reasons, before running off to the moors)—comes swooping in.
to the audience's shock and relief, Jane has recently embraced her nature as a fledgling, and has finally decided to abandon God (and compulsive heterosexuality) to return to her mistress. Bertha and Jane embrace, and with one romantic kiss they leap from the rooftop, transforming into bats/smoke still engulfed in each other's arms
"Reader, I ate him."
Read a fucking comic man
did you hear. the sun loves him
go see my son, the poster child for uncomplicated good
excuse me for stating the obvious but like. james gunn outright calling superman an immigrant and doubling down on it when he got backlash (because he IS an immigrant, that's the point of superman) + the in-movie dialogue of "aren't you going to read me my rights?" "you're an extraterrestrial, son. you haven't got any rights to read." + the violence of his arrest and how they torture and mistreat him unapologetically, all under the guise of "protecting america", in a film releasing during the onslaught of violent ICE kidnappings and abuse... yeah it's really no wonder right-wing knobheads are crying about this being woke. they're being forced to look directly at the reasons one of the most well-known and beloved heroes of all time would not be on their side. and that's only ONE of the reasons this movie covers
Superman isn't woke. You're just so evil that you see a man doing acts of kindness and you think it's a targeted political agenda
