OTHER PEOPLEâS GENDER IDENTITY, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, POLY/MONO, OR KINKS ARE NOT ABOUT YOU!
Lesbians are not lesbians because of âmen.â If there were 5 genders to choose from, a lesbian would still be oriented to women.
If someoneâs âmust havesâ butt up against your hard limits, itâs not about you.
If someone is polyamorous, it isnât because âthe right personâ hasnât come along yet, or theyâre just âplaying the field.â
Seriously âŚ.
People are who they are. And if a potential partner tells you upfront their gender, or their kinks, or their orientation, or their mono/poly, or whatever doesnât match yours, itâs not about you.
People have the right to live up to their own moral standards and not risk hurting others when things donât match up. They get to say no. They get to have âmust haves.â They get to be exactly who they are. And itâs not about you.
Please people, disabuse yourself of the notion that if only you were/did/could [fill in the blank], the object of your desires/affection/hopes would [fill in the blank].
Someone wanting/wishing/hoping/believing me to be anything other than sumissive, will not make it so. I am a submissive because I am me. Itâs not about Him or His being Dominant. If He were never born, I would still be subby me.
Accept people for who they are, as they are.
Stop trying to take hostages with phrases like âIf you loved me you wouldâŚâ âA real submissive would âŚâ âIf you were a real Dominant, you wouldâŚâ
When you find yourself hopeful or excited about the possibilities with someone and then find out their âmust haveâsâ just donât match up with your hard limits, thatâs okay. Yes, itâs sad and itâs disappointing. But itâs NOT about you. They were who they are before you ever met. And they will be who and what they are long after you forget.
When someone tells you upfront their bottom line, their non-negotiable âmust haves,â it is an act of integrity. And when they are forced to explain to you why theyâre not willing to negotiate with you after you didnât just accept their âno,â itâs still not about you.
It really is just this simple: @instructor144 abhors pineapple on pizza. It doesnât matter if he loves pizza and loves pineapple. He will not ever like them together. You being the worldâs foremost pizza chef wonât change him. The worldâs most perfect pineapple wonât be eaten by him on the worldâs most perfect pizza. Not even Stoya could lure him into a giving a life of pineapple on pizza a try.
And yet, most of us recognize that his rejection of pineapple on pizza has nothing to do with the lovers of pineapple on pizza.
It really is the same for gender, orientation, must haves, poly/mono, hard limits, etc.
Itâs just not about you.

How to love a broken girl
How to love a broken girl. How many would benefit from an instruction book for that? Its easy to love the carefree girls, the ânormalâ girls, the confident girls next door, but what about the broken girls? The girls with fortresses around their heart and shields in their eyes? The girls whose souls have aged beyond their earthly years? The girls with bodies and minds that have survived wars which would break the strongest of men? Sometimes these girls should come with a warning label. The warning pendulum swings both ways. This warning is not only for how you must treat her but for all the ways she will ruin you.
1. You cannot love her gently. She does not realize she deserves to be loved. You must love her with a force that can crush mountains. You must burn her soul so hot with your love that doubt melts away. Your love must be unconditional and you must show her on her very worst days.
2. She doesnt know shes beautiful. She can get compliments all day and she wont believe it. There is a demon on her shoulder whispering that its not true. It takes a dozen compliments to erase one hurtful torment from her past. Shower her with compliments, be her cheerleader, until your words are her heartbeat instead of her doubts.
3. Chase her. I know we often have the attitude of not chasing anyone. I know it is said to be weak if we chase someone who walks away, but we need to see you are weak for us. Sometimes a broken girl needs to see how much you need her. She needs to.see that vulnerability in your eyes to feel ok. We need you to need us.
4. She needs routine. Broken girls over analyze everything. They notice everything, too. Did you stop asking her for pictures after some time passes? Did you stop using a pet name? Every broken pattern to us means the end of the only thing we have ever wanted and it terrifies us.
5. Smother us with affection. Touch us. Kiss us. Touch us some more. Broken girls have not experienced enough positive affection in their life. We will absorb every ounce as a person dying of thirst demands water. You cannot shower us with enough of a good touch.
6. Be honest and keep promises. Broken girls have not dared to dream much. Every vow made to us has been broken. Every promise has been a lie. We would rather you never let a promise escape your lips than have you utter false ones.
7. Prepare to drown. If we let you inside our chaotic soul, you will be immersed in a madness you will not understand. We sometimes walk the balance beam of insanity and sometimes we fall. The biggest warning we should have is this.. if we love you, it is forever. We will love you with a loyalty that will amaze you. We will be committed and our heart will beat your name. While we are still broken we will try to devour all of your pain. We will be perceptive to your wounds and eager to heal your soul. If we love you, please be prepared that we will forever stay.

Happy Halloween from the birds!
Iâve got two events coming up: -This Saturday Iâm at the Boston Book Fest, running a writing workshop for kids. -Oct 20-21, Iâm at the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo! Come say hi.
fuck me like youâre obsessed with me and nothing else matters
My entire existence in one sentence
I have a question for the sadists. If your pleasure is to inflict pain, does it matter at what level it takes for your sub to reach pain? Do you have a need to hit hard, so to speak, or over and over ? Or is it satisfying enough for you if your sub feels pain with less force?
144 here. This is a great question. For me, it isnât so much about how hard I do it as it is what is the degree of pain the girl is experiencing. I use a thing I call âcalibration,â where during warmups Iâll ask the girl âPain scale, 1 to 10?â She might say â5.â A bit harder. â7.â Iâll repeat this process at various times (for example, when I move on to another body part, or introduce a new implement). This enables me to fine-tune my level of impact to her specific pain tolerance (every girlâs pain tolerance is different, often very different). My goal once warmups are over is to get her to a good, solid â8,âł and keep her there. It all sounds very sterile and âmechanical,â but itâs really not (itâs kinda fun!) plus it enables me to keep the Safe in Safe, Sane, and Consensual. Iâll be looking forward to seeing what the other sadistsâ thoughts are on this.
Wolf
Greetings,Sadist here, this is a very common question. I will add to what 144 gave us a little. 144 is a very precise Dom. Itâs something I admire in him. He approaches his sadism in the same manner. Iâm a bit more primal than that.
I tell my kitten there is one simple rule. âIt has to hurt.â She is a soft masochist so mild pain gets her excited. I think thatâs cute, so Iâll play with her at that level while she giggles qand moans and then I make it hurt (for her) I make it hurt at the level that she thinks it hurts. I donât just apply the most pain I can. I simply take her from âahâ to âowâ once we are playing in the âowâ realm and I know she is taking what she is taking purely for me, purely because she knows itâs pleasing me, then I am sated. (And unbelievably turned on)
So the short answer. Yes, sure, saying ow early is fine. As you learn to take more I will give more but it is not NECESSARY to satisfy me.

could you please explain how the safeword traffic system works?? i really cant wrap my head around it
Sure.
Red means stop. No more negotiation, something has crossed a line (too painful, something bad that wasnât negotiated, etc.)
Yellow means that you need a break or that something is too much, or that if the top continues then youâre going to âredâ soon.
Green means that things are going well and you want to continue if not ramp it up a little.
While a bottom might blurt out red or yellow, Iâve never seen a bottom volunteer âgreenâ. Itâs usually said in answer to when a top is checking in to make sure everything is okay. Asking âHow are you?â and getting an answer of âfineâ or âokayâ might mean the bottom is just on autopilot and reflexively answering. Asking âWhatâs your color?â and getting âgreenâ or âI was very close to yellow when you stoppedâ is much better.
One of my favorite doms to watch at parties was doing a pre-scene negotiation with someone he hadnât played with before and said something like âNow, just between you and me here ;-) , my favorite color is yellow. Itâs not about taking anything I can dish out. I promise you, I can always go harder. I want to know how youâre doing. Iâll likely yellow you, on purpose, a few times, just to find out where your limits are and then aim for a little below that. I donât want to hear âgreen green green, green green redâ because then the sceneâs over. I want some indication of how youâre doing and when youâre getting close to what you can handle, okay?â
And then, whenever she yellowed, he praised her. And why wouldnât he?? She gave him vital information that allowed the both of them to have more fun!
Damn, this is good!

How to spot âDaddy Materialâ
When youâre a closeted little in a vanilla relationship and youâre trying to decide whether or not to out yourself to your partner, it can be a nerve-wracking experience. You donât want to make things awkward and spoil something that is going so well, but you really want to share this side of you with the person who means so much to you! Whatâs a little to do?
Fortunately, there are ways that you can spot good caregiver material before you attempt to broach the subject:
Is your partner protective of you?
This goes beyond simply keeping potential romantic rivals at bay. Possessive and Protective are vastly different animals, and you need to be aware of the differences between them. Possessive is jealous, insecure, controlling, and manipulative. A possessive person will use guilt or anger to punish you for making anything other than them a âpriorityâ.
Protective, by contrast, is secure enough to allow you the freedom to enjoy yourself, but aware enough to remind you to be careful. A protective partner will offer to drive you to and from a party, remind you to dress warmly in cold weather, or make sure that youâve eaten enough if you need to be reminded. The goal of a protective person is to keep you safe, healthy, and happy, not locked away from everyone.
Does your partner delight in your joy?
Even if something youâre into doesnât interest them, the ideal candidate will be delighted to watch you doing something you love. They might learn the rules to a sport you play, pick out songs that feature an instrument you play, or listen to you go on and on about your favorite show, even if theyâve never seen it. The most important thing to them is that you are having a great time, and they absolutely love it when you light up.
Does your partner engage with you when youâre little around them?
This is kind of an obvious one, but a big one. At some point, youâre going to slip into little space when youâre around them. Theyâre going to have one of three reactions: positive, neutral, or negative.
Positive is when they naturally assume a caregiver type attitude - they might pick up on your vibe and roll with it, encouraging you to act little.
Neutral is exactly that - no real reaction either way. Maybe they donât know what to think or whatâs going on, but they donât react badly.
Negative is fairly obvious. They say things like, âGrow upâ or âHow old are you?â This is definitely not a good sign.
Is your partner playful?
Play is very important in these relationships; if you canât play together and enjoy your little space, it becomes something that separates you instead of drawing you together. Play is one of the most important bonding exercises between a little and a caregiver. If they arenât playful, you are going to miss out on a lot of the best parts of this life.
Hopefully, your parter possesses all or most of these qualities. If so, then you should consider opening up to them about your little space. If not, youâre going to have to decide if you want to risk outing yourself to someone who is going to reject that part of you.
I hope this guide helps! Until next time!

The Double-Edged Sword of Brattiness
âBut Iâm warning you, Iâm kind of a brat.â âNo youâre not. Youâre just a girl who hasnât had firm boundaries and desperately needs them.â
This was a few years ago, in my baby sub days. I had been kind of bratty in past relationships, but this Dom was not one to tolerate it. I worried he wouldnât like me. But it turns out that he was right about me. I had always been bratty because I had a deep need for structure that had never been met. I was bratty because I was clawing for boundaries that werenât there. I teased because it felt like the only way to be thrown down and ravaged. I intentionally broke rules because it felt like the only way Iâd feel that tight control closing in on me. I wasnât a brat; I was a submissive who craved deep and unrelenting dominance. Ownership. I just didnât know how to get it.
Now that I understand what I need, I can mostly quell those bratty impulses. When I need to feel my Dominantâs control, I say so in a meta talk. I ask how I can serve. I ask permission for things (and sometimes hope for a ânoâ). I give my Dominant opportunities to lead. I find ways to feel those firm boundaries within my role, rather than stepping out of it.Â
But part of me thinks there is still value in brattinessânot in outright disobedience, but maybe in close calls. You approach the electrified fence. You hear the hum. You use something to test it. Maybe you get a quick zap, just to know itâs there and working. But you donât barrel through the fence. Gently testing the boundaries can be a comforting reminder that they are there and strong. You are submitting to something, not just making it up in your head. A little brattiness can also signal confidence in the dynamic. Itâs only when you know the leash is there that you can tug on it a little.Â
Thatâs the keyâa little. Thereâs a rush of connection from being put in your place, but it wears off. And then youâre left in a worse place than when you started. It can be tempting to push at the boundaries, especially when you desperately need to feel them. But brattiness is not giving your Dominant opportunities to lead. You cannot disobey your way to firm boundaries and deep ownership. Playfulness is one thing, but intentional disobedience is toxic to the dynamic. Instead, you lean in. You ask permission. You have open, honest conversations about what you need and what is missing. Brattiness may make a spark, but itâs rarely enough to build a fire.
It has taken me some time to figure it out. But no, Iâm not a brat. I like to say that Iâm a good girlâŚ96.2% of the time.
The precision of that 96.2% made me chuckle. The money shot:Â âYou cannot disobey your way to firm boundaries and deep ownership. Playfulness is one thing, but intentional disobedience is toxic to the dynamic.â
