Attention all trans people looking for new names (and anybody who wants to help these people find new names)!

I created this blog so that trans people can submit pictures of themselves, and other people can look at those pictures and give suggestions for new names. (If you want a name suggestion but don’t want to submit a picture, that’s okay, too.)

When submitting, you can be as specific about your desired name as you need to be. You can request feminine, masculine, and neutral names; you can request names starting with certain letters; you can request names with certain sounds in them; and you can even request names with certain origins or in certain languages! And anything else I haven’t thought of yet!

If you already have a name in mind (or several!), you can also ask for people’s opinions on specific names.

If you’re looking for a new name, or if you just want to help other people find names, then feel free to follow this blog and/or signal boost! The more followers this blog has, the more useful it will be to people looking for new names. So consider helping trans people with what is, for many of them, an important aspect of their transitions!

This is a response to the anon who's afab and wants to stop their period, I'm trans masc afab and I am pretransition but I have always had bad dysphoria and health problems with my period but what really helped me was to1)take ibuprofen every 6 hours from the very start of your cramping. It reduces the amount of blood and cramping drastically2) switch to the cup instead of pads or tampons you can keep it in up to 12 hours and it won't leak it drastically reduced my dysphoria while on my period

fyi @ trans kids and especially nb kids: even if your birthname is gender neutral you’re still allowed to change it to feel comfortable. sometimes you need to completely break away from what you were originally assigned to feel right, and that is okay

My friend just came out to me as a trans girl and asked me to use she/her pronouns. But I keep on accidentally misgendering her. Do you have any advice on how to stop misgendering her?

Consciously talk about her, in your own head, using she pronouns. If you make a mistake, quietly correct yourself (”He, sorry, she”).  I find that texting often helps? Cos you can correct yourself before you send a message.

Hi everyone. I am a 20 year old transguy who recenty started doing youtube videos again. I came out at the age of 12 and started making videos at 15. I recently introduced a new concept for my channel, where I want to share general information about being trans and especially my own transition and what it means to be a transgender teenager.There where many things I did not know and even more things that went on in my head, but I could not put into words at the time. I can now and I want to now.

Okay this question was sent in as a submission and I wasn’t sure if they wanted to be anonymous or not so I’m just copying it to a new post What do you guys do in terms of Going to the gym. I can’t imagine going anywhere without binding, but I want to be physically active. The anxiety that surrounds wearing a sports bra is extremely triggering. Advice? Okay so do not wear a binder. Just don’t. I’ve done it before and it was extremely stupid What you could try and do is buy a skin.. which is like a skin tight top that is meant to be worn during exercise extra underneath a top (get a guys one bc it doesn’t account for breasts so will make you flatter) but also don’t worry to much if some chest shows. Guy’s get chests from working out. Just think of it as early muscle

i never knew how to make paper stars, so i looked up for tutorials on youtube.

when i’m lonenly, which is translated to most of the time, i make them; green, yellow, pink, blue, white, purple.

and, believe me, it’s kind of a relief to make them. not only for the colors and cute shape, but also for the fact that the time i spend makin them i am entertained and don’t have to think about my loneliness anymore.

i learnt how to make them like two months ago, by the way. and i have made over 300.

This is for everyone. Guys, girls, both, neither, and more.

When you’re upset, make a star. When you’re stressed, make a star. I make them in school when the teacher yells at our class for being lazy or dumb. I make them at home when I’m in my room, wishing someone would notice my feelings and give me comfort. I’ve always made them with whatever I had around, and write a number on each and every one because its therapeutic. I can see how far I’ve come and how many times I haven’t given up.

Right now I’m at around four-hundred and seventy, and it really puts everything into a perspective.

Thats four hundred and seventy times that I could’ve given up. I’ve gotten pretty close on some of them - scarily close, but every one of those stars is a reminder to keep pushing forward, because I wake up every day and on my dresser is a box full of stars, and when I’m happy I think of how far I’ve come.

I think this idea should be passed around as much as possible. Its calming and distracting from and panic I feel. It gives me something methodical to do: Fold here. Fold there. Crease that line. There you go, Create. Produce. Make something solid and focus on it. Make another if you need to. Write a number. Fill up the jar, box, drawer.

And when you’re breaking and feel everything crashing down, you can look at your stars and think:

“See? I made it through alright. I can give it another go.”

As someone who makes paper stars, it really helps. I have a giant jar and whenever I’m stressed, or lonely, or just need to think, I always have a pack of paper by my bed.

I’ll sit down and make them and before I know it, I feel calmer, and I’ll have a pile of little stars in front of me that I made with my own hands. I’ve made them in class before, and I’ll make them while watching tv sometimes, and learning how to make these stars, one day a few summers ago, was something I am so glad I did.

I have 2 children and we have always been comfortable with our bodies and not afraid to be naked around one another. I was cuddling my 12 year old ftm son the other morning and glimpsed (not for the first time) his unbound chest. And for the first time ever I felt a bit sick. The breasts are on the wrong body. They are just wrong. And if I feel this way just seeing them, how does he feel with them growing on him? So very sad today

Am I still a trans guy if I don't think I can go through with bottom surgery? My biological genitalia doesn't give me much dysphoria so I'm really confused. I'm scared of being judged.
