I think the reason I’m not ashamed to be an anime fan is because how supportive my parents are of it-They think it’s pretty cool I like something as much as I do, and are very happy that it has helped me make new friends. My parents and I also love to watch FMA together-My dad and I are even thinking of doing an Alphonse and Edward cosplay!

Even though it had nothing to do with the manga, I loved Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler II, and cried throughout most of the episodes(With the exception of the filler ones). I got-and still am-very attached to the characters in both seasons.

I always forget that most of the time, an anime looks better than the majority of its manga counterpart and then it screws up my expectations for the manga. I know the story is fantastic and the art will end up being mindbogglingly beautiful, but the art just isn’t there yet in the first few chapters. Since the artist develops, flushes out, and tries new styles in the manga before finalizing their style by the time they get an anime, the style in the beginning of the book usually looks completely different from the anime and it just throws me off.

When Kaijo lost to Touou, I cried. And when I was just about finished, I saw the scene with Kasamatsu-senpai crying inside the locker room, and I cried even more. That is how passionate I am about Kuroko no Basket. I’m definitely looking forward to the second season, but I know I will cry even more when it does come out.

I really wished that fans of Naruto, One Piece (and others that fall into this category) would stop being so dismissive of Dragonball/Dragonball Z and writing it off as not being a “real anime”. If it weren’t for Akira Toriyama, neither of those anime would exist. Dragonball is what inspired Masashi Kishimoto and Eiichiro Oda to make their manga* in the first place.
