Commentary on Dave Chappelle's new special 'The Closer'

I feel like people didn't digest this last special from Dave well for a multitude of reasons. I think they all stem back to understanding who Dave's target audience is. I believe this is why many people have a hard time digesting his works. If you don't like his vulgarity or audacity to talk about the topics he does then, you simply shouldn't tune in. In any way shape or form. Why do people keep forming opinions about things that they have not engaged with by themselves? Especially being that most people that do have something negative to say about the show already had a bone to pick with Dave Chappelle anyway. One of the big things that I keep seeing are things about intersectionality, transphobic comments, and calling himself a T.E.R.F. I don't know where people are getting this idea that Dave doesn't know what intersectionality is. He goes on to point out throughout the special that his main focus when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community is that his focus is on white LGBTQ+ individuals. He states how he cannot stand how they abuse their intersectionality by using it as a scapegoat for bigotry and racism towards Black people. Then people were angry and disgusted that he called himself a T.E.R.F. when he was trying to make a point about trans women and not trans women. Dave essentially was trying to point out and validate women's opinions like J.K. Rowlings. From my understanding, these women simply want there to be an understanding that trans women and women who are born females are different. Whether that is on the spectrum of the physical body and all that entails or the overall experience. Dave was agreeing that it's different but that trans women are women too. I find this interesting how much backlash he gets in certain instances but no one had anything good to say when that thirty minute segment he put out titled '8:46' regarding George Floyd came out a year ago.

The surgery LA had isn't some super complicated surgery that forced her to stay in bed for weeks. You are out of the hospital the same day and after 2/3 days you should be fine and go back to doing what you were doing before. As for the sex, people constantly romanticize everything and that's why they don't buy GG and LA having sex. They were trying to get pregnant, not to enjoy sex. Remember the FG shade?
